One visit was not so impressed

What a shame, no gluten-free option available 😒

Cons: Staff did not have a clue about allergies., Was not made welcome.

Surprisingly nice

Maidstone has a lot of interesting buildings if you look above the shopfronts. Some museums, but it also has a lot of traffic and underpasses that seem unfathomable.

The skull bar is modelled on a bikers' pub but spotlessly clean by comparison it had been vegan before they renamed, so they take care about segregation of the food.

I had a bubble and squeak burger chips and extra vegan coleslaw. It was surprisingly nice and a lot better than what the big chains do. I have also since tried their Skull Burger with their Skull beer, both are very nice.

There are more vegan options here than many other places in Maidstone sadly, veganism is not widely popular as it is in my own town, Tunbridge Wells.

Pros: Very friendly atmosphere, Secret location it took me a while to find., The beer served is always in excellent condition.

Cons: The menu is smaller than it had been, Even if there is no food they will recommend well

Sellouts

This place used to be 100% vegan. Then they became sellouts. Really upsetting.

The same is true of La Viva-Vegan, but they did not name change but just introduced meat then eventually closed.
