Just choose somewhere else - Edit
Awful service. We ordered a sandwich and soup each, and one ordered without the 'bacon'. We pointed it out and they said they'd run out. Seems like they just hoped we wouldn't notice as we had to ask for it to be taken off the bill (the 'bacon' was an extra). They didn't offer us any alternative and they didn't apologise or anything, and made us feel rude for pointing it out. There was quite a lot of broken glass on the floor and on the bar and the manager just kind of kicked it to the side. The food and drinks were very expensive and small portion sizes. Service was very slow staff were always rude. The kitchen is right next to the toilet. Lesson learned, we should have paid attention to the other reviews.

Expensive but a nice breakfast - Edit
€30 for a mozarella focaccia breakfast and a vegan healthy breakfast.
Read moreThe mozarella in the focaccia just tasted a bit bland, but the rest was really delicious and it came with soup.
The fried eggs were really cool but the whites taste of nothing (which is impossible to change wherever you go really). Yolk was delicious though and I enjoyed the mushrooms and avocado.
It’s quite a small portion, but filling. Nice if you want to treat yourself in a city lacking in vegetarian/vegan options.

Ok food - Edit
I went there super excited since it was recommended by a fellow vegan. The experience was… underwhelming. The staff wasn’t very friendly, the food was bland and the beetroot was the worst beetroot i’ve ever had. And the avocado was not ripe at all. The waffles were weird and tasteless. The soup and the bread were actually good. And they do have a great selection of beer!

Gentilezza e gusto - Edit

The waffles were ok - Edit
Cute Restaurant, the staff was ok.
Read moreThe waffles (14€) are expensive for what you get. They aren't crispy and don't have a lot of flavor themselves.
Their smoothies are more like slushies and are frozen through.

Delicious vegan waffles - Edit
I really like the vegan and gluten free waffles here! They have a lot of options, sweet and savory, and the waffles taste really good. Definitely a must try if you even visit Brussels and you crave a vegan waffle! Price is a bit expensive though!

Good food but limited options - Edit
Found this place since it was so close to the square. I ordered the vegetable soups which was VERY good and my husband ordered a bowl which he said was ok but not seasoned well. Unfortunately I was a little disappointed because I had really wanted one of the sandwiches from their menu and they said they ran out of bread. Regardless, the soup was excellent and the location was amazing!

Amazing place for lunch, lots of vegan options, food was fresh and delicious. I had the savoury waffle (which is 100% not a thing) but it was really nice nevertheless.

Good but expensive waffle - Edit
I tried the vegan savoury waffle. It was very delicious but quite expensive for its size (16 €). It’s on the tourist area so what can you expect.

for the waffle experience! - Edit
i looove a chickpea flour–based item and the vegan/gf waffles delivered. we got a sweet and a savory one. the vegan mozz was delicious; vegan bacon was not as much my thing (maybe they were seitan shreds?), sun-dried tomatoes and veggies were so fresh! you can sit outside on a pleasant shady side street, which was amazing on a hot day. various milk options including soy. didn't try the juice but looked so delicious!

Awesome restaurant, if in Brussels I’d recommend. The location is beautiful, situated near the Grand Place, with lovely outdoor seating. Lots of vegan options. I tried the “Vegan History” waffle with vegan bacon, vegan mozzarella, and avocado. Very tasty!

Situated at the heart of Brussels. It offers a lot of vegan options, from soups, to sweet/savoury waffles, and focaccia sandwiches. All very tasty. Fresh juices and hot drinks are also available. Prices are above the city average. The decor is basic.

Loads of options in cosy cafe - Edit
We went here on a rainy afternoon to try their vegan waffles and enjoyed escaping into this warm and cosy cafe. Don't expect quick service but that's all part of the experience of being here I think. I had the peanut foster waffle (peanut butter, banana and vanilla ice cream) and my husband had the raspberry white chocolate one again with vanilla ice cream. I really liked the texture of the waffle dough - dense yet really soft if that makes sense. The only thing I would say is that I was expecting the waffle itself to be a bit sweeter and I definitely think you need quite sweet toppings and in particular the ice cream for it to work. I would loved to have gone back and tried some of their savoury options for lunch some day as their whole menu looked great and very innovative but unfortunately didn't get the chance on this trip.
