You’ll leave with a full belly from this quaint pub!

There was a great selection of vegan mains, and I loved my vegan fish and chips. The portion was MASSIVE! I was very well fed - battered jackfruit pieces, chips, mushy peas, salad…if this main was anything to go by, you won’t leave hungry!
They also had a panacotta desert option which was exciting to see!
Everything was clearly labelled on the menu.

What’s more, I’d recommend going here just for the setting - I loved this pub’s shabby-chic interior, outdoor riverside seating, and beautiful surround marshland views.
In case of use too, the owners were very happy for me to park up my campervan in their car park overnight, which was another big win!

Quirky foodie venue

A country bar, which looks derelict from the outside, but inside is decorated in a quirky, artsy way.
We had the battered jackfruit and the mushroom burger.
All were homemade, the batter was light and crispy and the chips were 'proper'.
Main meal £18, a pint £5, be aware that the optional service charge starts at 12.5 % but can be input manually.

Pros: Homemade food, Staff very helpful, Artsy décor

Cons: 2 mains, 2 pints and a tip cost over £50, Side car park was small and full

Don’t judge a book by its cover

Or don’t judge a pub by its facade.

Great food. We had an upmarket mock fish and chips, and Thai laksa. Two lovely vegan dishes.

Lovely looking interior. Very welcoming staff.

LGBTQ friendly.

Pros: Tasty vegan options, Vegan dessert, Lovely atmosphere

Cons: Probably best to book, Parking on the roadside, Little pricey (but lovely)
