Okay burger, great dessert - Edit
I tried the bbq jackfruit burger and it wasn't fantastic, it was quite oily and that bbq flavor wasn't really there. The smashed spuds it came with were good though and I tried the sticky date cake which was delicious. Nice outdoor seating, kind staff.

Best vegan restaurant in bali - Edit
I've tried almost everything here. It is all very good, which is so rare. The juices and smoothies are excellent. The bowls, eggs, Italian all very good. The best part, you can leave full because they give a normal portion. Large even. My favorite is the immunity juice, maqui smoothie and protein bowl.

I have had a couple takeaway items here, the nori bowl and the cauliflower steak. Love that so many items are fully of veggies. I had such a hard time choosing, but really enjoyed both my meals.

The vegan cheese on my burger was very good, and there was a wide array of vegan desserts to choose from. I had the chocolate peanut butter tart which I thoroughly recommend. Staff were friendly, although it was unclear whether they were going to take our order at the table or if we had to go to the counter - I'm still not sure as we ended up going to the counter out of confusion.

We came for dinner - really nice vibes here and a massive selection of vegan food choices. Me and my friend both had the “pillow talk” gnocchi which was delicious (especially the vegan feta!). Would definitely recommend and try again if I had longer in Canggu!

The seating and overall setting of the restaurant is divine. Beautiful, outdoor natural seating area. The food was priced to match the other restaurants in the street but for me the taste wasn't as on point as the other restaurants in the area that charge the same amounts. There is a lot of vegetarian options on this menu with some vegan options. I was disappointed to see they didn't offer any vegan smoothie bowls and only 2 vegan smoothies. The menu states no alterations to the menu, so we weren't sure if we could alter the smoothie bowls to emit the bee pollen and granola (which I am assuming has honey in it, as it was not listed as vegan). So that was disappointing. The Jackfruit burger was just okay, it looked the part but there was no seasoning or marinade on the jackfruit. In all honesty the burger would have tasted better without it, a big mushroom patty would be much tastier. So despite the taste, the burger was a sloppy mess. The potatoes it came with and tzatziki sauce however were tasty. I also had their Macai smoothie, which was okay at best. Their mushroom bites were tasty, crispy crust with mushrooms nicely melted. The sauce was nice too. The star for me was the roasted cauliflower, the sauce poured all over the dish really makes it. It's one of the higher priced items on the menu and I'm glad I tried it, but because of the price 90,000ir I wouldn't get it again. Overall, the setting is what made Shady Shack enjoyable and I would like to try some other items to see what the fuss is about here. But also I'm okay if I don't as I wasn't fully impressed on my first visit.

I was recommended this place by a friend and was not disappointed. The menu is huge and most things are vegan. I ordered the jackfruit tacos, a soy latte and a dragon fruit & strawberry smoothie. The tacos were AMAZING and the coffee was the best I'd had in a long time. Want to go back to try the rest of the menu!!!

My husband and I have lived in Canggu for more than 18 months now and the Shady Shack Nori Bowl is still my favourite meal ever. I remember lunch and dinner over brekky!

Lovely service and good location. Food comes always really fast and I’ve never been disappointed. My absolute favorites are vegan boss burrito and vegetable lentil soup! Good quality everything’s always fresh. Free water and no hidden prices. Highly recommend!

My only negative is that the serving sizes are very small, especially for the prices they charge.

We had spring rolls for starter (except from the dumplings, they aren't vegan) and the vegan cheese burger for main. The spring rolls was okay, but only 3 pieces for two persons. The rest was salad so I wasn't impressed. The burger was probably the worst vegan burger I've ever had. Everything was soft (imo a burger has to be both soft and crispy) and tasteless. It was very dry, too little aioli (I couldn't even taste it). The patty seemed like it was never fried, it was just blended mushrooms and walnuts. And the cheese didn't taste of anything.

a very busy spot, outdoor seating, generous portions. completely vegetarian with vegan/gluten free labeling on the menu. baked goods and some zero waste/eco products inside. take away menu as well. arrive hungry!
