The Settle Down Cafe
Serves meat, vegan options available. Small cafe off Westgate Rd and near Central Station. Around half the menu is vegetarian and looks like sandwiches could be made to order (ask) with hummus, falafel, salsa, caramelized onion, roasted veggies, etc. Offers a selection of veggie salads including bok choi & sesame, and chickpea & spinach. Fair trade coffee and other drinks. Open Mon-Fri 8:00am-7:00pm, Sat 9:00am-6:00pm.

Right next to Tilleys bar in a cracker jackson part of town. This is a decent eaterie where you will find canny veg / vegan food lurking lovingly amongst the meat in pleasant surroundings. British food, British drinks, British Britain.
Pros: Decent food, Nice location, Friendly
Cons: Serves meat

good food - Edit
Bowl was chipped, but the vegan Autumnal Root Vegetable soup was very tasty, garnished with roasted pumpkin seeds (too pulpy to eat). Vegan falafel sandwich on seedy bun was good. Soup & sandwich for £4.50. Also available: treats, mini-pizzas. Meat is used too.
Private small room at rear. Large table for groups.
Pros: tasty vegan soups and sandwiches
Cons: not completely vegetarian, needs some new dishes
