I hope the coffee is better than the cake... - Edit
I was so excited to find that there was a place in Savannah where my boyfriend and I could get some vegan dessert during our vacation. We went out of our way to the Sentient Bean. We both ordered the orange chocolate cake. It was dry as dirt. It was more like biscotti than cake. This stuff gives vegan baked goods a bad name. We won't be going back.

I’ve been spending time with folks who used to live in Savannah and The Sentient Bean has always been a gem. I love the vegan options they have.

Great brunch - Edit
Went there for Sunday brunch. Lots of delicious vegan offerings in a restaurant that offers vegan and non-vegan dishes. On Sundays, not only do they have their regular breakfast but they also have seasonal specials like vegan strawberry pancakes and vegan sausage gravy and biscuits. The restaurant is across the street from Forsyth Park so highly recommend a stroll after your meal.

Perfect for vegan breakfast! - Edit
This is my favorite place in Savannah for vegan breakfast. The coffee is top notch, the staff is amazing, and there are multiple hot vegan breakfast items to choose from. It's great to have something other than pastries or oatmeal and the breakfast tacos and breakfast burritos fill the bill. Also the atmosphere is perfect. Definitely recommend a visit here.

Vegan breakfast burrito is bang for your buck! Always a little dif depending on who the chef is that day, but still great. Lots of vegan specials and baked bars!! They also support community people as a safe space for rest, recharge, and epic music shows and open mics.

Must visit - Edit
Little coffee shop with food and baked goods worth going for. The breakfast burrito was very tasty but needed a lot more sauce. The lemon blueberry bread was my favorite.

Basic breakfast - Edit
Food was decent but pretty basic: breakfast burrito, breakfast tacos, BBQ tofu wrap, and your general quinoa power bowl.
Read moreI had the burrito which was just okay, kinda dry and there’s no real breakfast sides to get with it other than a baked good. I had the lemon blueberry bread which was also good but nothing special. I kinda expected more from an all veg place. Service was also lukewarm
Pros: Meat-free, Vegan breakfast option
Cons: Food was just okay , Basic and small menu

Super eco friendly and artsy. Local artists pieces are on the walls, outdoor seating, and expansive recycling bins.

Good food and prices - Edit
Ordered lattes, breakfast burritos, and some type of rose mango pastry. Lattes were tasty, burritos were very good and filling, and the mango rose pastry was surprisingly flavorful and interesting. Everything was reasonably priced, and the vibe is casual and welcoming.

So disappointed - Edit
My husband and I decided to try Sentient Bean because of all the good reviews, but we were so disappointed.
Read moreHe ordered the quiche, I ordered the biscuits and gravy with a side salad.
None of the food was seasoned. It was some of the blandest food I’ve ever tasted. I’m not even sure what was on the biscuits they served me, but it was definitely not gravy.
Even our lattes were lackluster.
Pros: Cool atmosphere , Local art for purchase
Cons: No flavor , Too expensive for what you get

Big place with vegetarian food and some vegan options. We had the banana nut pancakes and the vegan breakfast tacos. Super tasty, and lots of it 😅. I couldn't finish it.. Haha.

Huge Portions - Edit
This place is large and welcoming inside. The vegan burrito was huge and reasonably priced. I’d like to see more purely vegan options, however, in the pastry case.

Great burrito - Edit
Few vegan options (burrito, taco, bowl).
Read moreGot the vegan burrito and thought it was very good, very healthy. Tofu scramble was actually scrambled rather than in cubes.
Slightly on the small side of burritos, but delicious

Favorite breakfast place - Edit
My boyfriend and I tried the vegan breakfast burrito which consist of tofu scramble, spinach, vegan sausage, onion, black beans, and vegan spicy mayo. It was delicious. It comes with a cup of salsa and Sriracha on the plate. We also got the iced black tea which is good. I added my own stevia to it. The pancakes are delicious too.

Cute quirky vegan friendly! - Edit
I’ve visited Savannah a few times & never came by. I regretted it after having their vegan breakfast burrito today. I split it with my partner and truly enjoyed it. It isn’t really spicy so I recommend adding some cholula if you prefer spice! Regardless I’ll be back next time I stop by Savannah.

Local place to see - Edit
This reminded me of being veggie in the late 1990’s (as I was) and the kind of spots I found. Ingredients mostly local and fresh, good but kind of bland tofu scramble in crumbly but tasty corn tortillas. I’d go again if in the area and try something else. Lime tree on the patio!

Sentient and Amazing! - Edit
The Sentient Bean had been one of our staple spots in Savannah for years. Great vegan and omnivore options. The food is delicious, ample desserts and baked goods, great staff and reasonable prices.
Read moreIf you are vegan, The Sentient Bean will be your morning go to in Savannah. It's the best way to start your day, especially if you stroll through Forsyth Park on your way there each morning.
Breakfast burrito, tofu tacos, 2 baked goods, and 2 giant soy lattes (about the size of a Starbucks Venti but for about $3 less) was around $40, including tip!
That's an amazing local bargain in the area for top tier vittles.
This place is a must for vegan travelers!

Great Coffee, Great Food - Edit
Several vegan items on the regular menu. We had the BBQ tofu tacos and the vegan breakfast burrito. Both excellent and flavorful. Coffee was great too, with a few different non-dairy milk options. Would recommend stopping by if you’re in town, it’s just on the south end of Forsyth park.

Good options - Edit
Nice amount of vegan options however me and my partner both ordered the exact same thing and his came on a plate with sauce but mine came in a takeaway box with no sauce which we found a bit strange? It was tasty and service was okay.
