Lovely restaurant with many vegan options and a vegetarian menu, I tried the Quiche which was lovely, chips are great and a nice salad. Website says 25 vegan options. Including cakes. Also caters for Gluten free if you need that.

Vegan mains, some of the waffles were vegan and two cakes.
Read moreLovely decor and tables well spaced. Food presented quickly . I had spicy bean burger and my wife the leek and mushroom pie with eg. Both tasty
Waitress said pie would come with broccoli but arrived and said they had put extra carrots. We asked to replace the extra carrots with salad which they did happily

A gem in Weymouth - Edit
The breakfast was absolutely delicious and there were plenty of vegan options. I had the scrambled tofu with pinenuts (a lovely touch) which was delicious and a very generous portion. My mum had the waffles which were gluten free and she was super happy. I want to go back for breakfast already and to try the lunch menu. The staff were also really friendly and welcoming. I couldn't recommend the secret garden more!

We had the jacket potato & soup, both enjoyed it very much! I had a peppermint tea & my partner had a beer. It was busy so had to wait a short while but that's okay as the location itself is good to just sit in!

Quaint and good food - Edit
Really wholesome little café, really rate most of the food. Toasties are a bit dull but everything else I’ve had I really liked. Always have the poutine when I come in. My favourite place to eat in Weymouth

Totally veg/vegan menu which is always great. Adults and kids alike happy with the food, but it’s fairly basic. It’s in a nice spot in Weymouth with outdoor seating.

DELICIOUS waffles - lovely outdoor seating - book a table ahead of time - Edit
We didn't book, so ended up eating inside, which was still very nice, but outside looked great on a sunny day.
Read moreWaffles were great -- not too soft, not too crunchy and there were loads of options for toppings.
They had a wider brunch menu with scrambled tofu, full vegan breakfast, etc. but we were too excited about the vegan (and g/f) waffles to order anything else. They also had 3 vegan cakes on offer, but I was too full.
We would have come back the following day, but we really wanted to sit outside and we'd forgotten to book a table again.
Covid19 specifics - seem good about sanitising tables, menus, staff serving food wore masks, collected contact details and arrival/departure times.

Great brunch! - Edit
Popped in today for brunch and were really impressed! we shared the tofu scramble and a vegan waffle and they were both delicious - the oat milk hot chocolate was amazing as well. Really reasonably priced (less than £20 for two dishes and two hot drinks) and a nice little place to sit and relax. Would definitely recommend to anyone in the area!

Amazing place to go to for a lovely meal - Edit
We arrived at opening time (9am) and were greeted welcomingly and warmly, by a lovely waitress, we had a vegan hot chocolate with vegan cream and marshmallows, then for breakfast had the light vegan breakfast (only £5.5) and they happily swapped out the mushrooms for a tofu scramble. The interior is cosy and stylish and had a great conversation with the waitress. Definitely going again and will recommend.

Fabulous!! - Edit
As a vegan who can't eat gluten I couldn't believe my luck when the Secret Garden Cafe opened in my home town! I've been twice and both times I enjoyed my meals - the lasagne is particularly good! There is so much choice and the menu is mainly vegan. Hopefully they will expand their range to include some gluten free vegan desserts one day😄

Hey there Jenny,
Read morethank you for the review. When we were offered this building we knew there was a huge hole in the market and people like yourselves had been kinda left out.
When opening we found that the Vegan and Gluten-Free cakes etc quite hard to bake and have them stay intact... but... we have good news! It's now been over a year and we've found our feet since you reviewed us last. We now have a selection of Vegan and Gluten Free desserts. We've also always done Vegan and Gluten-Free waffles which have a huge selection of toppings and seem to be a massive hit! 😄
Hopefully you'll continue to visit us and we look forward to seeing you again😄

Mothers Day brunch - Edit
We decided to come to the Secret Garden for Mother’s Day brunch as we have previously dined here and really enjoyed it. We have the veggie breakfasts, waffles and mushrooms and avocado on toast. The food was delicious, fresh and quick to the table despite the cafe being full. Even the non-veggies in the group enjoyed the veggie sausages and breakfast as it was so tasty. The cafe has become a favourite with our family and friends as the staff and owners are so friendly and we are guaranteed an amazing meal each time
