What a special experience - Edit
So many wonderful courses with such amazing ingredients. Every detail was carefully considered. The strawberry cheesecake for dessert was so amazing, the best I’ve ever had.

A very special night - Edit
We had a great time here. The staff were friendly and the food was incredible. Our first course had long trumpet mushroom skewers, savory aebleskiver and some smaller bites. One was best described as a potato chip sandwich. 😂 It was amazing! My favorite was the savory aebleskiver. Next was a beetroot salad with pumpkin cheese—pretty good but not our favorite. And then a squash with sunflower seeds, hazelnut tofu spread, and a miso parsley blend. This was amazing—when eaten together it reminded me of a savory snickers bar. The last savory course was a potato terrine with truffle. These seem to be really popular right now and are always good, but we really loved those truffles. The slightly crisp texture on the outside was perfect. My partner loved the sweet courses and was really impressed by their sorbet, something he’s not usually into. This place is definitely worth a trip if you’re in the area. #Veganuary

Absolutely the best dining experience of my life! - Edit
Wow wow wow! Don't miss this experience. Each course (and there are so many!) was exquisite with impressive attention to detail. I have never had such a delicious and fancy meal. The servers were incredibly knowledgeable and helpful and kind - all of them and there must have been 10! We did not take advantage of the beautiful lounge area and bar before dinner but noticed some did and it looked really comfy and fun. They also have live music on Thursdays, I think, which we did not see but also sounds fun. Make this an evening and spend time watching the chefs in action with their open kitchen. It is magical to see them create such pieces of art. Not to give too much away but we had three dessert courses! We only eat one meal a day and I was afraid from some reviews that we would leave hungry but not at all true. We were pleasantly full but not stuffed. They are farm to table and they tell you exactly what is in each item for each course. They are also attentive to allergies but let them know ahead of time.

Incredibly pricey for meh food - Edit
Small plates of weird design. That even the staff voiced would get less weird as the meal progressed which it did however there was no protein in any of the courses leaving us hungry after a $150/person meal. Honestly you’re better off eating in the cafe where you can control your food choices.
Read morePros: Sommelier available if you like wine , Tasty cocktails , Accommodating for food allergies
Cons: Cold broth in an inedible pumpkin is just weird, No protein

A vegan, a vegetarian, and two carnivores walked into a restaurant... - Edit
For years and years I've wished for the ability to have a multi-course plant-based meal with deluxe service and presentation. Eureka!
Read moreDetails mattered from the reception to the kitchen to the sommelier. All exceptional.
Each plate was so pretty and the food delicious.
I appreciate their asking in advance about food allergies - a commendable level of customer service.
Fresh, delicious, creative; it's easy to run out of compliments for how wonderful this food and evening were for our group.
The taste combinations were sublime. The plating and presentation were a feast of sight and aroma.
We all enjoyed the food and would return again (and again).
Extra points for the staff being courteous helping with the elevator for a guest unable to navigate stairs.

Suberb! Six Stars! - Edit
We had eaten at the Little Saint several times and have always loved the creative dishes, farm fresh ingredients, beautiful décor and relaxing vibe. When we found out about the Second Story we made reservations with a couple of our best friends (who are not Vegan) and we were simply amazed at the delicious ingredients, amazing creativity, wonderful presentation and friendly and attentive service. After the almost 2.5 hour relaxing and filling meal we feel the cost was actually a bargain for what you receive in return!
Read moreWe recently had eaten at 11 Madison Park in NYC (a business partner owed me a dinner!) and this is a Plant-based, prix fixed, Michelin chef owned restaurant that charges $400 per person. I can honestly say that the Second Story was the better experience!
FYI Our non-Vegan friends were also amazed and loved the food!

Special in every way - Edit
We celebrated our 15th Anniversary with dinner at The Second Story. It was lovely, delicious and very special. Optional wine and non alcoholic pairings, creative cocktails, outstanding service, and the food was unforgettable. The vibe is very Healdsburg, dressy casual/understated wealth. We got very dressed up knowing this, and didn’t care, but wanted to mention it.

Best vegan meal for special occasion - Edit
My partner and I shared an amazing celebratory meal at The Second Story of Little Saint Healdsburg. The vegan multi-course tasting menu (upstairs section only) was truly the best vegan meal I've ever had, and I've been vegan for more than 40 years. Every course was unusual and extraordinary, merging ingredients and flavors I never would have thought to combine. The menu changes seasonally and yes, it's expensive. For a special occasion, it's phenomenal.

Fantastic dining experience - Edit
Made our reservations as soon as we found out about The Second Story!
Read moreHeaded upstairs at Little Saint for 6pm reservations. This was opening day for Second Story. They were starting to get busy.
Our waiter said it was a 5 course meal but we would have more than that.
Forgive me that I don’t remember all the ingredients or names to all the dishes.
We had a beverage with a lot of flowers in it. So when you drink from the straw the flowers were right at your nose😜 Different/Cool.
Next a Pea Tart, so many flavors. Then a skewer of smoky veggies. We saw the Chef making these and flames and smoke. A pastries item with kale (I think) inside. Salad, the waiter said to eat each leaf separately. Each leaf was dipped or dusted with different oil or sauce. A soup was next, they brought out a bowl of veggies and fruits then poured the liquid soup on. Another smoky dish.
Main entrée a pastry filled with mushrooms and more, again they brought out a sauce to pour over it. Now a tea to clean our palate before dessert and there were 3 desserts. A frozen strawberry sorbet on creamy sauce. Chocolate mousse in white sauce. Petit fours. With so many ingredients to all the dishes and the menu they gave us, it’s was hard to write a good review. All I can say it was awesome!
