Examples dishes include vegan pizza with toppings of choice, vegan garlic bread pizza, vegan fish with chips, cauliflower wings, battered pickles, vegan bean chilli & nachos, jackfruit burger and more. Open Wed-Thu 14:00-21:00, Fri-Sun 12:00-21:00. Closed Mon-Tues.

We called beforehand to see if they had spaces to eat and vegan food they said yes. Turned up and asked again if they had vegan options, yes they said. Sat down with two hungry kids and they said the only options they had were root vegetable soup and chips. Terrible. Left hungry and annoyed that they didn't tell us on the phone that they were serving a very limited menu before we drove 20 minutes to try their 'award winning' food.

Best vegan food I've had outside of London, the steak and ale pie is quite simply a British classic with the full vegan makeover. Worth the journey.

Who would have thought so much choice and quality in such a quiet remote place in the Lake District. I cannot recommend this lovely pub enough!!!
