Nice cafe with good vegan options

The cafe is part of a holistic retreat which offers massages and alternative therapies.
We booked a table as the food times are quite narrow.

Lots of vegan options and staff very clear on what is and isn’t vegan. Opted for a tofu salad and a bbq wrap with soup of the day on the side.

Food was excellent , very tasty and worth the price

Pros: Tasty food, Setting is quiet and peaceful , Selection of vegan options

Cons: Limited vegan cakes

Delicious Lunch

The Sanctuary of Healing cafe has lots of choice for vegans and is very relaxing and chilled. Had a tofu salad and jacket potato with red pepper houmous with two decaf teas with oat milk.

The food was delicious and good sized portions and we left clean plates.

If you want a relaxing lunch this is a perfect spot with outside seating in the courtyard when that weather is sunny.

Pros: Lots of vegan options , Plant milks, Vegan ice cream

Top notch service and super fresh food

Our first visit today. Last lunch Order is 14:15. We were right at the last minute so the soup had sold out but the service was amazing. The food was sooooo fresh and the bread basket was a joy. Vegan spread available. Soups vegan, one sandwich and one salad. Vegan baked goods and ice cream (booja booja) available.

Pros: Really fresh, Vegan ice cream, Great service

A Sanctuary, Indeed.

Set in a beautiful holistic treatment retreat, the café at The Sanctuary of Healing has several vegan options. I ordered the tofu salad, and my dad ordered the soup of the day. I asked to confirm that the bread, spread and dressings that come with the salad were also vegan (a few venue slip-ups in the past has taught me to not assume), which actually caused a little confusion to my surprise, but after some discussion with other staff members, it was resolved.

We were a little early to be ordering the food, as they don’t start serving food until 12 noon, but after a little wait, the meals arrived promptly after this time. I was delighted with the flavours and construction of my salad, also the bread was deliciously soft and fluffy. My dad enjoyed his soup and also commented on how fresh the bread was.

The interior is very modern, clean and uplifting, and despite my expectations of it being pretty quiet at this time, it had a great atmosphere, with small groups of people already enjoying themselves at the location. The venue is very accessible; I noted wheelchair users and people with buggies having few issues. The toilets were easy to access too, although I think the entrance to the café could be a bit tight without assistance, so that might be something to bear in mind.

I’m thrilled at the options for vegans, with clear labelling systems, I think a little update with the staff so they fully understand the menu and dietary requirements would be a good way forwards. I’ll definitely be calling back as soon as I can.

Pros: Clearly labelled vegan options, fresh bread, clean and modern interior.

Cons: Could do with few more vegan choices, a little confused with vegan items.
