Brilliant big vegan menu - Edit
This is my second visit here - last was 2 years ago and I'm delighted to see the same big menu with so many vegan AND gluten free options! As a family of 5 we were all able to eat different things! So rare!

Fab food! - Edit
Came here after seeing all the good reviews and we were not disspaointed! There was 3 of us so we had the fish and chips, chicken fajitas and the special of chillinoncarne. I then had to try the lemon meringue pie which was just absolutely brilliant! All in all a really lovely place for food 😊

Lovely fish and chips - Edit
The vegan fish and chips here is always lovely, I went with mushy peas and curry sauce too ☀️ Nothing special but for the location the range of vegan options is impressive, also perfect for when you’re with non vegans as they have a menu that’ll suit anyone. Other vegan options are yummy too, nice pub grub + decent beer selection.

Excellent Experience - Edit
I had been craving fish a chips for a while and I was not disappointed with this vegan option. They used banana blossom as the fish replacement and I was so happy to find a vegan option that was not processed meat replacement but using vegetables instead. There was 2 vegan dessert options that I didn’t get to try because I was so full but they sounded delicious.

Plenty of vegan options - Edit
Their standard menu has plenty of vegan options and all their vegan desserts are very yummy.
Read moreThey are currently doing veganuary so have at least 2 vegan specials a week also.
We went last weekend and had the breaded cauliflower with peri peri sauce, garlic bread, the sweet and sour 'chicken' with rice special and 'chicken' tikka curry. The food was lovely and we had the red velvet cake and salted caramel brownie to finish which were incredible.
The staff are always very friendly and accommodating and they allow dogs which is a massive bonus 😊 #Veganuary
Pros: Plenty of vegan options, Vegan desserts, Allows dogs

Best selection in Porthcawl - Edit
The best selection of vegan options I’ve come across anywhere in Porthcawl. Jackfruit bites as a starter, Thai vegan burger, Vegan shepherds pie, Banana blossom fish and chips (the best I’ve had anywhere), a jackfruit Balti, possibly another option I’ve forgotten, and a few vegan desserts that I was too full to try.

Several great meals - Edit
A traditional inn by the water, which also happens to have for vegan options on the menu. I had the jackfruit balti with rice and chips (comes with naan too!) and my wife had the banana blossom "fish" and chips. Both were delicious. I also had the vegan brownie with vegan vanilla ice cream as a dessert. Overall, the whole meal was super tasty and big enough to be filling. Staff were efficient and friendly too, fitting us in before a booking as this was Covid times. We ate outside on a pleasant April evening.

Vegan fish and chips - Edit
Reasonably priced, good food.
Read moreI've only eaten here when the tofish and chips is on the specials menu. I know they did trial banana blossom at one stage but I'm yet to try their version.
Would like that to have a more permanent fixture on the menu.
In the summer they have a lovely balcony you can sit up on which looks out over the seafront.
