Plant-based cafe in the mall - Edit
Feb 2026: it’s great to see that The Sage Village is still doing well, four years after my last visit. The Aussie Melt and iced coffee were both delicious!
Read moreI was happy to stumble by this cafe when looking for a brunch/lunch spot with options. The menu is large, featuring a wide variety of vegan meals.
We chose the chick’n burger, French toast and pancakes… all of which were filling and delicious.
Service was friendly and they offer a selection of baked treats at the front counter to eat in or takeout.

A Hidden Gem for Plant-Based Foodies in Campbelltown! 🌱 - Edit
It’s rare to find a vegetarian/vegan-friendly spot in the Campbelltown area that’s both accessible and packed with options — but The Sage Village delivers! Their menu is a dream for plant-based eaters, with a wide variety of flavorful dishes that cater to different spice levels and taste preferences.
Read moreStandout Dishes:
• Buffalo Cauliflower Wings: A tasty kick for those who prefer mild spice. Not fiery, but still satisfying.
• Potato Gnocchi in Napoletana Sauce: Slightly tangy but delicious, with perfectly cooked dumplings and vegan parmesan — not too firm, not too soft.
• Sweet Potato Croquettes & Pumpkin Arancini: Crispy on the outside, rich and flavorful inside. A must-try entrée!
• Ravioli with Homemade Napoletana Sauce: Possibly the best vegan ravioli I’ve had — hearty and filling despite its modest appearance.
• Vegetable Spring Rolls: Crunchy and tasty, great as a light starter.
Sweet & Savory Highlights:
• Pancakes/Waffles: Generously portioned and indulgent. Opt for vegan ice cream to keep it dairy-free.
• Mexican Options (Nachos & Quesadillas): So good they’ll make you do a happy dance!
• Vegan Pesto Pasta: Al dente penne with a perfectly balanced pesto.
• Open Melts (Mushroom & Avocado): My first vegan melts — and they were absolutely “bomb dot com”!
• Fish & Chips: Surprisingly satisfying for picky vegan fish lovers.
• Breakfast Rolls (Meatballs, Facon & Flegg): Great for a quick, tasty morning bite.
• Vegan Chick’n Nuggets & Chips: Kid-friendly and delicious.
• Momo Dumplings 🥟: A spicy side dish that packs a punch. They are great steamed or fried.
• Grilled Club Sandwich: Comes with fries and is super satisfying — you might need to cut it down to size!
• Açai Bowl: A healthy breakfast option, not the trendy soft-serve kind.
• Spanish Gomlette: Perfect for those who enjoy a saltier flavor profile.
• Big Breakfast & Sage Village Breakfast Plate: Hearty and energising — ideal for starting your day strong.
• Tofu Scramble: Savory and satisfying, though the greens were a touch salty.
• Mango Blues Juice: Refreshing and light.
• Satay Chick’n Skewers: Nutty and flavorful — a great choice for satay lovers.
• Burgers: Big, bold, and tasty — bring your appetite!
One of the highlights of dining here is the owner, who is always incredibly welcoming and genuinely interested in customer feedback. It’s lovely to see someone so passionate about their food and eager to hear how each dish lands with diners.

Pros: Located in Macarthur Square, Close to Macarthur Station, Great portion for an affordable price

Crazy that this exists here - Edit
The title says it all! Awesome little mostly vegan cafe/restaurant with extremely generous portions. The burger and wrap we got were just insanely massive. Their “Chicken” seemed to be made in-house, and the faux eggs and facon were just so damn good.
Read moreWe’ll be back every time we’re here visiting family. Definitely recommend the chicken burger with no pineapple - pineapple on burgers is for chumps.
Pros: Chicken burger , Chicken wrap

Wow, exceptional service, delicious Vegan food and outstanding customer service in Sydney.
Read moreThe Sage Village, MacArthur Square Campbelltown hit high scores on all the points provided above.
I stopped in early on a public holiday and was pleasantly surprised to find a welcoming and informative young lady who directed me towards a table and menu, she brought me a reasonable long black coffee.
Overwhelmed with the amount of choices on the menu, and it being breakfast I couldn't go past the first two options,
The Vegan mushroom Meatballs on a long roll with a home made nepolitana sauce and the vegan Parmesan cheese option. This was hearty and delicious.
Next I had a "Fakon and Flegg" roll.
This was really worth noticing, I was forced to go and ensure that the egg was not animal based, and was happily gaslit as that is the most convincing and similar fried egg vegan alternative that I have eaten in 4 years as a vegan.
These were both reasonably priced but I had am appointment, sad to leave I took a box of assorted vegan slices.
There is a full vegan and vegetarian menu with plenty of gluten free options for a vegan breakfast, vegan lunch and vegan meal for dinner.
Sonny the chef and owner is passionate and bleeds enthusiasm for the cause.
Some of the best vegan food I've eaten in Sydney.

Great food and best service - Edit
I've never had a dish from here that I didn't like; EVERYTHING is so tasty. Even something simple like the Chick'n Wrap is amazing. If you want something really filling, try the Three Layer Grilled Club Sandwich. It is $29.50 but if you've had a big day exercising and need to fill up, this will do it and you'll probably have leftovers 😃
Read moreThe cakes cabinet is always too tempting for me. The Filos are a nice take home to pop in the microwave when you want a delicious snack. My wife gets drinks here as well with her friends and rates them as high quality (both the drinks and friends 😁)
Sonny has amazing customer service; always making you feel important and ensuring you have a great experience at his store. The staff learn from him and also offer great customer service due to their enthusiasm to work for a great boss.
Highly recommended.
Pros: Customer service, All of the food, All of the drinks
Cons: The ever tempting cakes 🤭

This is a great cafe in an area with not many vegan options, including wraps, pastries and sweet and savoury baked goods. The service is friendly and there’s lots of range on the menu.

Best breakfast without a doubt - Edit
This vegetarian café is worth the drive/ train ride. It’s convenient though since T8 goes directly from circular quay.
Read moreMany seating options and lovely decor with lots of plants. Great service - super friendly and welcoming.
Breakfast is served until 11 (but it’s worth to eat early). I chose “the sage village “ which is a huge breakfast plate combining everything I love: sourdough (I didn’t enjoy that the bread had vegan butter on it), scrambled tofu, spinach, hash browns, mushrooms, avocado (huge one!), tomatoes, sausage, baked beans and bacon
All vegan and a great portion. The flavour was amazing. Every component was delicious and well seasoned! Top notch breakfast. Also the coffee is great (had my usual oat flat white and it was 10/10).
I forgot to ask for no sugar in Matcha.
The food is outstanding and I saw some other dishes on other tables & they looked stunning too. It seems like they put a lot of effort into their food and I am sure every non vegan will get convinced that vegan food is great.
They have heaps of lunch dishes too.
Cakes, cupcakes and brownies as well as cookies are also available. I loved the raw cakes! Perfect texture and taste

Have been here twice now but on the second time I didn’t realise that they close the kitchen at 2:30. Ordered a milkshake for take out and it was incredible. The food was great last time I visited and the menu is really varied. The staff are always lovely and the place is clean and tidy.

Reliable veg option in the Macarthur area - Edit
Really enjoy coming here, the food is priced well and portions are pretty good size. Service is great, too. The only drawback is that this joint is vegetarian so they serve cows milk, cheese and honey. If you are vegan, be sure to specify what milk you want in your tea/coffee and double check the menu item can be veganised.

My new happy place! - Edit
This little place opened just before Covid lockdown in 2021. The menu has great vegan options and the staff are lovely and very down to earth. One for everyone! - Edit
Have eaten here a few times now and grabbed cakes and coffee on the go; this is a fantastic option when you’re needing a spot for both plant based and non plant based eats. While the whole menu is either vegetarian or vegan, there is enough here to satisfy anyone. A really great selection of food, so many options, friendly service, and located at Macarthur Square so easy to get to. They do use things like mock meats, and things like mock eggs which taste fantastic, but might not be for everyone. I find it fun trying the different foods they have. Overall, really nice spot, worth checking out!
