Chef was friendly and tried to do something for a person in our party which she appreciated. But no vegan options on the menu was disappointing

We went at 10 am and could only choose from the breakfast menu.
Read moreThe vegan breakfast was ok. It was a bit cold when it was served and the cold avocado seemed a bit random with the rest of the food.
Also they had run out of vegan milk which can happen I guess.
On the plus side the waiter was super cheery and friendly and the pub has a nice atmosphere.

The menu states all items except fish, gammon and halloumi can be made vegan. There are burgers, pies, salt & pepper chips, garlic bread, onion rings etc.
Read moreI had the vegan Sunday roast. It was a nut roast with roast potatoes, cauliflower, green beans, carrots, cabbage and gravy. All beautifully cooked and very tasty. The Yorkshire puds and cauliflower cheese aren’t vegan but they tell you that when you order and it comes without.

Had breakfast at The Royal Oak this morning.
Read moreTasty enough, but they didn't have any of the 'Vegan eggs' so they offered me either extra hash brown or extra toast. I made the wrong decision and chose extra toast as the hash browns were good! It did say it would be sourdough toast but was just normal bread.
Also came with sausages that weren't advertised, had to get my boyfriend to test them first just in case!
Would go again, as would like to try the Tapas Thursdays they do ☺️
