Read moreThe Royal Oak was recommended on a Vegan Facebook group so we called in for dinner as they have a small vegan menu.
We ordered a tomato chilli flatbread to share, then gnocchi and a cauliflower steak, then pineapple to share. The food was well cooked & seasoned and full of flavour and perfect portions and the chips were the best. Also dog friendly. My only comments would be its weak on desserts I don't classify sorbet a good enough option in this day and age. It would also be nice to have a vegan cheese on the gnocchi as the vegetarian version has goats cheese yet charge the same for the vegan dish and side dishes would be nice too. I gave feedback about this and they said they would take my comments onboard
Will definitely revisit though as we had a great experience.
