Town centre hotel with a hint of country pub

We have been to The Royal many times over the years. The food is always very good. This was our first visit since lockdown and we were very pleased to find that they now have a separate Vegan menu.
We have tried the burgers, Chilli Nachos, Pan Fried Mushrooms, Chilli Noodle Stir Fry and the Curry - all very good with well-sized portions.
We will be going again when we visit family next year.

Pros: Very good food, Good portions, Excellent service

Cons: Closed on Monday evenings to non-guests.
