Delicious!

We had a lovely family meal mid afternoon - and had the place to ourselves. We all thought the Small Plates looked more appealing than the limited selection of Mains. I had the cauliflower in BBQ sauce (beautifully crispy batter and delicious sauce) and tofu/broccoli skewers (another delicious sauce, but not on the menu currently online) and I finished off some delicious chips (again with a lovely sauce). My son said the houmous was awesome.

Pros: Tasty, Good portions, Reasonable price

Cons: Mains rather limited

Delicious!

It's a pub with fully vegan menu. When I went it was pasta night and I can't believe it wasn't busy. This place is great and the food is delicious.

Pros: Fully vegan, Very good choices

One of my very favorite restaurants!

This is a cute and cozy English pub with fantastic food, great drinks, and all vegan menu! We went for Sunday Roast. It was our very first one not being from the UK and it was absolutely incredible. We each got different ones; seitan steak, Beet Wellington, and Butternut and sage roast. All we great and all the sides were so good, fresh, and delicious. The Yorkshire pudding and gravy were fantastic. All love!

Pros: Amazing Sunday Roast. , Lovely ambiance. , 100% vegan!

Lovely vegan pub

There’s a decent choice on the menu, I went for the tofish bites (which were on the specials board) - the actual tofish bits didn’t have much flavour but the tartare sauce was really good. Also got chips with it, I don’t think it would have been enough for dinner without those - the chips were delicious. We also had the hummus to share which was really good and my wife got the burger which she enjoyed.

Vegan Roast Sunday dinner

We just ust got into town and our second step was a vegan roast Sunday dinner at The Roundhill Pub. I had the smoked beetroot and mushroom wellington. It’s going to be a long time before a dinner tops this one!

Not wheelchair accessible but good food

Food was good and staff were friendly. Not wheelchair accessible due to steps in and a door so narrow I had to remove the wheels from my chair to get it inside which I've never had to do before. Mens toilets were also up a staircase which I had no hope of being able to get to

Sunday Roast With the Most

Top quality Sunday roast with the essential trimmings and a Yorkshire pud too. Excellent gravy too.
Crumble dessert, whilst nice, was not top notch. Thin layer of crumble and small amount of custard provided.

Updated from previous review on 2024-04-07

Pros: Quality of the roasts, Veg and trimmings excellent , Friendly staff

Cons: Crumble dessert not quite as good as main, Two lemonade choices unavailable , Soda served instead of lemonade, quickly corrected

Sunday lunch

We had Sunday lunch last weekend, I love a vegan SL but you don't get good ones very often, particularly with a big fat Yorkshire! Was looking forward to it and it didn't disappoint. Duff seat at first and run out of red wine but the lunches were lovely. The cauli cheese was a bit dry and not cheesey. I couldn't fit a pudding in sadly!!!

Pros: Vegan only, Nice pub

Cons: Sat us next the loo (we moved), Run out of red wine

Really good vegan pub food

Went here for their vegan sunday roast. I had the special with seitan chicken, and every bit of it was delicious. Lots of gravy, lots of veg, and the yorkshire pudding is excellent! I've always struggled to find good vegan yorkshire puds but these are great.
Definitely recommend.

Update: lovely pie and mash last night for St Patrick's day menu. Friendly attentive staff and nice atmosphere with live Irish music. Long term veggie friend struggled with having only "meat" named and textured mains. So had to have a starter only.

RoundHill Recognition

A vegan pub perched atop one of Brighton’s many hills offering all things vegan. Refurbishment to the building is necessarily ongoing but the quality and choice of food remains high calibre. Occasional themed nights add to the mix; my personal favourite was the Japanese night. That was simply incredible! Pub food, all vegan and at decent prices. I love it!

Pros: A plant-based pub. Who knew?!, Delicious, Creative environment

Splendid!

Beautiful, cosy, plant based pub. We enjoyed some organic wine and IPA. The service was excellent and super friendly. We were spoilt for choice when deciding what to eat. We ended up choosing battered cauliflower to start, which was delicious, and then I opted for a very healthy budda bowl with veg, lentils, humous, flat bread and kimchea. My husband enjoyed the burger and chips. The desserts looked amazing and very varied, but we were too full to indulge. Will definitely be back.

Pros: Delicious food, good selection and good value, Friendly staff, Lovely decor

Incredible Vegan Roast

Visited for my birthday in October to try the famous Sunday roast and it did not disappoint! It was a good portion size, everything on the plate was delicious and I was particularly impressed with the vegan Yorkshire pudding. Cocktail was lovely too and the Biscoff dessert was to die for! The service was very friendly and the atmosphere cosy and welcoming.

Pros: Fully vegan, Friendly staff, Cosy atmosphere

Cons: Often booked up on Sundays - so book in advance

Finally got to visit the Roundhill

I’ve wanted to visit for a really long time, so was thrilled to be able to book in whilst visiting Brighton.

I had the pink lady cocktail which was really tasty. My Husband chose the house beer which was nice too!

We ordered the vegan roasts - one beef seitan and one celeriac roll. The seitan was ok, the celeriac roll was absolutely delicious. The vegetables were cooked beautifully and also incredibly tasty. The only let down was the Yorkshire pudding which was so dense and just tasted like batter. I couldn’t eat it.

We then opted for a sticky toffee pudding to share which was really delicious.

Overall I’m really glad I got to visit.

Pros: Staff are really friendly , Delicious cocktails

Cons: Yorkshire pudding

Pros: Great tasting food, Nice decor and outside seating

Cons: Not the cheapest

Fab Sunday roast.

Tried the award winning Sunday roast at the Roundhill pub in Brighton. Absolutely delicious! I had the roast celeriac roll and my husband had the seitan brisket. The veggies were beautifully cooked and the gravy was to die for! Lovely atmosphere & friendly staff.

It's a 20-25 min uphill walk from the seafront which nearly killed us (it was hot on Sunday!) but I think there's a bus that goes up the hill. Highly recommended 😋

Amazing Sunday roast

We had a lovely vegan Sunday roast here. There was a choice of three main options, one of which I think was gluten free. We both got the seitan "beef" brisket, and it was amazing. Service was friendly, too!

Pros: All vegan, Generous portions, Good value

Cons: Bathrooms were a little dirty
