i had the butternut squash soup with fall spices. Just wonderful. My husband had the portobello burger. He is not a total vegan so he also had mozzarella cheese. You could get without cheese. mushroom was Stuffed with spinach and tomatoes on a brioche roll. what a find in the finger lakes!
A leisurely dinner with very good food. Seasonal menu included a delicious and spicy coconut curry that was vegan. There was also a salad and a burger that could be made vegan.
New review: returned to Roots Cafe for another dinner. I had the dal, which was delicious. However we sat outside and were bothered by bees, so I’d recommend the indoor seating. Service was slow, which was not our experience previously. Otherwise it was a pleasant meal.
This cafe has a nice outdoor seating area on the front porch. Inside they have cute vintage tables. They had two vegan options: a hummus wrap that looked good and a sweet potato black bean burger, which my husband and I both had. It was excellent, we have veggie burgers all the time and this was a nice change of pace. The fries were different too. Also had a good glass of wine from their winery. Although, the glass of wine was small, they seemed to forget to pour half the glass. All around a really wonderful meal though! Plan on spending a good hour here though, they are a bit slow.
