Really needs vegan mains - Edit
The only vegan main course was the beet burger which “can be made vegan.” What they do is remove the cheese and sauce and then it’s just a dry burger with chips.

Don't recommend for vegans - Edit
Eggplant sandwich is not good without the cheese - it needs something to drown out the vinegar taste. The Asparagus fries were just OK. They need some vegan options, esp. for the price. I would have loved it if they had some baked roots - such as beets, carrots etc. I like the notion of farm to market food but they need healier food IMO.

Few vegan options - Edit
You would think otherwise with their branding buuuut 🤷🏻♀️
Read moreThey also don’t really have vegan protein at all, so you can imagine how fulfilling their options are. “Oh you’re vegan, great, here’s a salad!”

Couple good sandwich options. - Edit
Their eggplant sandwich is awesome and the beet burger is also good. You do have to tell them to make it vegan and they leave off a sauce, etc. still, great to have options like this in Texas.

Delicious - Edit
Have always loved Root Cellar. And now that I’m Vegan, there were good options. I had eggplant sandwich and husband had beet sandwich. Wait staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Very limited - Edit
I found this menu to be extremely limited in vegan options... and the waitress seemed annoyed that I was asking about them.

Not very vegan friendly - Edit
Their pasta is made with eggs so basically the only thing vegans can eat there is salad or veggies with hummus (which was quite good). Try calling ahead and you might learn more about the menu then I know.
