Meh afternoon tea - Edit
The options were ok- nothing amazing and not worth the cost food wise, the view and setting however is spectacular!
Read moreSandwiches were ok (not all to my personal taste which can’t be helped). The scones were fairly dry and tiny. The cake sponges were lush but the fillings had a strong margarine taste. I love the raspberry posset, just wished there was more.
Staff were friendly and topped up teas frequently.
Wouldn’t go again for an afternoon tea however would like to try their main menu.
Pros: Friendly staff, Beautiful setting
Cons: Disappointing food, Expensive cocktails

Difficult to book - Edit
I enquired early in the week about the afternoon tea as my mum is coeliac and vegetarian, and got a reply saying that could be catered for. I tried to then book on the phone on Wednesday which took me a while to get through, only to find out that they only do bookings for afternoon tea by email, which was not made clear to me in the reply I got to my intial email, so I emailed to try and book for Friday, and noone got back to me. Very disappointing.

Disappointing - Edit
Cocktails-good
Read moreService-pleasant &helpful
Dessert -plum crumble -delicious
Only 3 mains were vegan; chickpea curry. Risotto, falafel burger
The risotto was not cooked- waitress deducted this from bill
Falafel burger was okay but more like a bean burger?
Starter of hummus dip had a really thick consistency like pate.
Expensive restaurant in an office block. Toilets were on a different floor, and not of a standard I would expect for a fine dining restaurant
Pros: Vegan mayo, Pleasant service
Cons: Basic & dirty toilets, Limited vegan options , Noisy.

Went for Dinner - Edit
While there was limited options for vegan dishes, there was enough for me and my partner to have something different. The atmosphere was great, and the cocktails were lovely!

Really good Vegan afternoon tea - Edit
I have done a lot of vegan afternoon teas and most in none vegan establishments are really lame (the worst is the plaza in NY) so this really surprised me. The sandwiches were nice. A bit bland not pushing the boat out too far. The scones were really yummy as were the jam and cream. But they really excelled at the cakes where most fail. I great selection and all different. Sponges were moist and very good! Tess were flowing but not many herbal tea options.
Read morePros: Great cakes , Nice location for sunny days
Cons: Some grumpy staff but most were lovely
