Arrived with a friend who lives local on a drizzly day after having a good walk. We were greeted by Becky the waitress, we asked to see if we could have a few drinks but Becky mentioned the outdoor seating was the only available space and explained they were fully booked.

I found this strange as some tables and chairs were empty from just standing at the entrance. Not to cause a stir I followed my friend to the rear in the rain. I wasn't impressed. Wanting to double check with someone again I went to the front house. Again Becky came to greet me. I asked the question if we could sit inside rather than in the rain but she insisted they were fully booked. At this point I mentioned and pointed out 3 free available tables. (I had an understanding that these could have been pre booked due to the recent COVID pandemic).
From the 3 tables I saw, I was told reserved tables would be occupied in 10 & 15 mintues. So I had to reiterate that we wanted to stop for a drink maybe 2 at the most and then leave and even going as far as to mention she could inform us when the time was near for us to leave. Out of nowhere I was then told we could be seated on a 2 seat table with an hour limit. I found the entire system ridiculous and embarrassing.
I'm not sure if this place uses a colour chart to allow entry but it sort of felt that way.
So to conclude there are better places in the surrounding area with a better atmosphere that are more accommodating.

Pros: Chair

Cons: Being segregated , Having to persuade for a table, Select clientele
