Cheap place, many choices

Very local restaudant with quite the big, nice seating area. Easy to find. During the time I spent in this restaurant I was the only farang - which is usually a good sign😄Cheap prices (60 Baht for a vegetable and mock meat soup), many dishes on the menu were described as "spicy". Nice staff. If you like all kinds of mock meat variations, this is the place for you (there are some "vegetable only" dishes as well, of course).

Underwhelming

I ordered a lot of dishes for delivery to share with Thai family, generally they were overly sweet and somewhat bland. Portions are okay, some ingredients not so fresh. The spring rolls were very greasy.

The fruit punch was delicious.

Good food and service

Ate here five times as we there weren’t many vegan places near our hotel. That’s ok though as the food was good, the restaurant was clean, the staff were friendly and and the food was good value. The menu didn’t label vegan dishes but we avoided food that had eggs in the description and double checked with staff. Also got quite a few snacks from the shop here

So many options and so yummy

This became our place to get breakfast. The stuff is very attentive and the food tastes very delicious 😋 They have a lot to choose from like dishes with mock meats, dim sum with different fillings like fake bbq-pork or sesame and even coffee with plant milk. We also got some stuff from the store that was delicious as well😄Dishes range from 23 to around 100 Baht.

Yummy big portions, inexpensive, nice and delicious ☺️

Tofu salad was really hearty and satisfying.

Pros: Staff is bad in english, So it’s difficult to understand , Is meal you’re choosing vegan or not

Just good

We only went there cause we had no choice our hotel was far from everything. It's good but overpriced for what it is. We hate coriander and there was too much of it in most dishes. Good Pad Thaï

Okay

I think the food need more time to cook. As I ordered tofu soup, and my tofu still cold. Overall it’s okay. Friendly staff and the restaurant is easy to find.

Pros: Vegan and vegetarian options , Friendly staff

Cons: Some dishes are a bit overprices.

Best veg place around

Great food for a budget! A main dish costs around 60 baht. The owners are super friendly (they love if you try speaking Thai!) and they have air conditioning and WiFi. Nothing else to be asked for!

This place is fantastic!

I eat here often because I live nearby, but even if I wasn't so close I would definitely make the trip. It appears to be a family-owned operation.

FYI: Google Maps can find "The Rice and Healthy Food," and the physical location has the sign in English, but Google has the name completely in Thai. It's easy to find, just opposite across the street from Tesco Lotus in a converted gas station area right on the canal. You'll probably see the "vegetarian food" sign or some variation of the Thai character from the sidewalk.
It's about a 10 minute, 50 baht taxi ride from Khaosan Road if that's where you're staying.

Most things are made to order, so the food will always be hot (none of those trays of stuff cooked ten hours earlier like other places). The food comes quickly, and the quality is much higher than the low prices. Certain dishes are arranged in a visually-appealing way (I am uploading many photos I took).
The dishes are all mainly the same price (40-60 baht), but the portions are enough that, depending on what you order, two might be more than enough for one person. If you go with others, they give extra plates.

The food definitely has less sodium. Less chili and oil, too. I feel "light" after eating here, not bogged down or salty or gross. This is the main reason why I return often!

Their menu has photos of every dish, and there is Thai and English under all pictures. While dishes have eggs, but you can get everything with or without eggs. You have the choice between white or brown rice with some dishes, and some dishes you can choose type of thing (noodles, etc). You can get everything ordered just by pointing at the spot on the menu. If you do need help with something in English there's not always someone can speak English.

That being said, the staff are very sweet people. It's a Buddhist place and everyone has a big smile and greets you warmly. The old lady behind the counter is very patient. The servers, even when busy, are jovial and follow all formalities. There is a tip box which says the tip will be donated to charity. I feel very welcome every time I come.

The restaurant itself is very clean. It stands out in this for me, compared to other Thai places I have eaten at in BKK at this price range.

They also have juice, smoothies, and iced teas. All I've tried were great.

There is a small vegetarian foods and healthy products shopping area inside. You can get a lot of snacks and other things at a decent price.

Nice food and atmosphere

Most of the dishes contain meat substitutes which are perfect for any new vegetarians/vegans still adjusting to cutting meat from their diet. Dishes are very cheap (mostly 40-60B) and atmosphere is very peaceful.

Pros: Friendly staff , Inexpensive, Good food

Cons: Slightly hidden from the road
