Menu options are limited anyway, so a jackfruit pie with chips and gravy it was. And I'm so glad it was! Absolutely delicious, and a really pleasant put in general.

Veggie or vegan Beef Pie, a must try - Edit
Had a wonderful time here trying ales (they do flights) and indulging in some “no-moo” pie. Friendly folks in a classic “pub” atmosphere downstairs. Upstairs is more restaurant-like, but I didn’t go up there.

Loved the vegan jackfruit pie here. I honestly couldn't tell you if they have other vegan options because I was immediately sold on that. Two choices of vegan gravy!

Lovely and cosy place for pies and ales - Edit
Really lovely place with excellent ales and quite some vegetarian and vegan pies. Pies are from Pieminister, and are served with yummy fries and sauce. The atmosphere feels local and cosy!

Great option for a “pub” experience - Edit
Visiting from the US so was happy to find a vegan pub option. Only ever see jackfruit in bbq form so really enjoyed trying it as a beef substitute.

Half the menu is veggie - Edit
3/6 of the pies are veggie friendly, and they had an option of regular mash, vegan chips, or vegan mash. I tried the vegan pie and it was delicious, i was craving britsh winter food and this hit the spot. #Veganuary

Edit: I have just found out the pies are from Pieminister which sells in various supermarkets.

Jackfruit pie was absolutely delicious and went down well with a pint of dark Raven.
No frills pub with a friendly customer service
Only minor gripe is the price of a vegan pie is same as venison pie :-(

Aware of vegan offerings - Edit
Have been to this pub a couple of times for a drink. It’s a welcoming and friendly place. The staff are knowledgeable about the vegan options. Advised us that they alway have three vegan ales on draught, tried Raven and Raven Gold ales which are excellent. Have vegan items marked on the menu, they seem to specialise in pies. Have a vegan pie and a gluten free pie, but not a pie that is both, so we haven’t eaten here.

Stopped in this pub for a pie and a drink whilst visiting bath. Downstairs feels like a very 'local' pub but upstairs has lots of tables for eating. Staff were friendly and pointed me to a Vegan ale on tap. Had a 'chicken' pie, chips and mushy peas which was excellent. Would definitely go again.
