Disappointing Sunday roast - Edit
Firstly I would like to say that I have previously had a burger and fries from this place which was very tasty. I think this is why I am so disappointed with the Sunday roast. The potatoes and parsnips were likely reheated as they had a rubbery texture, the other vegetables lacked flavour. There was a Yorkshire pudding which did not look or taste cooked inside. This was disappointing for £14.95.

If you are looking for vegan ‘junk food’ this is your place! There is a wide main menu - all vegan - and huge portions. They are happy for you to take home what you can’t manage! Loads of burger combinations to choose from, as well as tofush and chips and a few other items. If you’re the kind of person who can’t manage a bun with your burger, try the loaded chips, there are about 4 different types including one with cheezy mac and vegan bacon, which is delicious. They have gluten free options (I think the latter is marked GF!). As they’re now in a shop unit in the Royal Star Arcade, they are able to offer a range of soft and alcoholic drinks, including cider and beer on tap. If (like me) you prefer to sit outside there are a couple of tables outside in the arcade. Well done to Tammy and team - you deserve every success!

Skullduggery in Maidstone - Edit
The only option in Maidstone has a rocky alternative vibe but delivers delicious dishes. Some classics reinvented like burgers and tofu steaks but I had a light lunch of a fine Caesar salad with heavenly chips and a red wine gravy. Friendly and a nice vibe

The menu might read like a regular fast food fare but in fact the dishes were well put together with tasty and fresh ingredient combinations. The ceasar salad was well seasoned and balanced, the potato wedges were satisfying and the highlight, the red wine gravy, was rich and punchy and clearly made fresh. Worth exploring more dishes in this bright and super welcoming little restaurant

My favourite local burger restaurant! Portions are large and lots of choice of interesting combinations of toppings and some old faves. They also do loaded fries, and a lunch menu. A cool little venue as well with often lots of events going on in the evening. Well worth a visit!

The vegan skull is currently located outside a pub in Maidstone (you can sit outside or eat inside). They do the most amazing burgers and loaded fries (definitely not for those on a diet!). Great to have lots to choose from which is not that common for vegans!

My partner and I were camping in the Maidstone area (highly recommended) and were absolutely thrilled to find The Rainbow Skull Maidstone. Everything about our experience exceeded expectations. Our hosts were super welcoming and friendly and when we got our food you could tell the thought and passion they had put into it. They even had special animal-free treats for our dog friends :0)

Lovely staff, and the owner is brilliant! We had the burgers which were out of this world, proper thick vegan cheese and juicy patties. The chips were divine. A lot of love goes into their food. Will definitely visit again!!
