A bit of an oasis for vegans - Edit
I had a bit of trouble finding it, but once I did, boy was I happy! There really doesn't seem to be anything else for vegans in the part of the old city where I felt safe enough to walk around. I was there for a tour under the Wall, so I ate there both before and after. I had a very fresh and reasonably priced plate of salads: beets, carrots, tabouli, chumus and Israeli salads. After a few hours of hard work attempting to drink in all the information on my tour, I went back and had pasta with falafel. Not my first choice in other circumstances, but I was thrilled to find it in this wasteland. Also the people working there were very gracious and helped me find an outlet for my charger, and also didn't mind my hanging around drinking tea while they were cleaning the place up for the day. I couldn't have survived without The Quarter Cafe!
