Unique vegan options in CR

They have a lot of unique vegan options.. probably the best selection in Cedar Rapids! Plus they have an arcade with pinball machines and several vintage games, which makes it fun for both kids and adults. We tried the jackfruit sandwich, the black bean burger, the toadstool pizza and a veggie pizza. Everything was great!

I'm guessing the vegan mozzarella is Daiya.. some people love that brand and some people hate it. I would love to see Quarter Barrel make their own cheeze, or branch out and try some other brands. However, I'm just greatful for the wide selection of vegan options. I will definitely stop by again the next time we're in town!

I waited an hour for it to open and it was worth it

I loved the mummer beer and I got the bowser jr with pineapple and jalapeno instead of tempeh. It was good. I would eat it again. Fermented and vegan crust. Good vegan pepperoni.

Pros: Vegan pepperoni, tasty beer and pizza, crust and sauce good

Cons: no outdoor seatin, they were out of a lot of beers

Delicious!

Great vegan options! My kids loved the food as well! We tried the hummus and falafels and both were amazing! Black bean burgers were tasty and vegan cheese pizza was a hit! We will definitely be returning.

Pros: Many vegan options not offered elsewhere in CR, Reasonably priced, Fun games for kids!

Jackfruit sandwich

The Jackfruit bbq sandwich is really good the meat looks so real that I had my doubts at first. And the menu has label the vegan options which is nice.

Pros: vegan options, clear menu showing what's vegan

Cool atmosphere and vegan options!!

Stopped in for a beer with my hubby early afternoon on a Wednesday. Ordered house made curly fries and a couple beers. Cool relaxed atmosphere and awesome stand up video games. Bar tender was friendly and service was fast. Several vegan options clearly labeled on the menu. Will be back for lunch or dinner soon.

Pros: Clearly labeled vegan options , Atmosphere , Retro Video games

Brewery and Arcade with Innovative, Tasty Vegan Options

I have been to Quarter Barrel several times, and checked them out this week for Veg Week. I had the Far East Bound & Down pizza (red curry, purple cauliflower, peppers, shiitake mushrooms, vegan mozzarella) and it was SO GOOD! I was a bit leery about the curry and peppers... but the pizza was full of flavor and not spicy. I also tried the Filipino egg rolls... I hadn't had egg rolls in years and they were excellent. One of the owners told me that all vegetables were locally grown! Farm-to-table egg rolls... love it!

The Quarter Barrel regular menu has vegan options, too Come for the great food... and stay for the arcade games, home-brewed craft beers, and fun!

I wanted to leave a 5-star rating but couldn't since it's not a fully veg restaurant, although the owner is a vegetarian who eats mostly a plant-based diet.

so many vegan choices

The menu boasts homemade vegan sausage, tempeh bacon, tofu ricotta, vegan blueberry BBQ sauce, flavorful citrus vinaigrette, and a hot dog pizza that can be made with veggie dogs. So, lots of options! Salads were fresh and tasty. I'd personally pass on the curly fries. They were very thin like shoe string fries so they didn't have much potato flavor and they weren't crisp, but my husband liked them. We'll have to try the pizza if we ever pass through Cedar Rapids again.

Pros: Symbols on the menu mark items that are vegan and

Cons: Sauces & dressings aren't marked vegetarian so you
