Community based cafe connected to a farm based in the heart of Loughborough Junction, very close to Brixton. Offers healthy, vegetarian food with vegan and gluten free options. Serves lunches, tea, coffee and cake. Uses many of the herbs and vegetables grown on the farm. Open Tue-Sat 09:00-15:00. Closed Sun-Mon.

Brilliant Community-Focused Cafe - Edit
The Platform Cafe is a relaxed place with a changing menu. The ladies running it on the day I visited used locally sourced ingredients and herbs from the attached farm. I had a tomato soup and a wild mushroom sandwich with truffle paste. It had lots of flavour and a nice kick - perfect.
Read moreMost of what they produce is vegan, but they have some vegetarian things too (eg. chocolate cake).
It's clean and colourful inside and the cafe/its owners were involved in a number of community based project/businesses (eg. misshaped vegetables). I only wish they were open at the weekend (maybe soon).
Pros: Tasty food, Involved in community projects, Friendly staff and the cafe is nice inside
Cons: Please open at weekends!
