It was okay.

Clean, spacious, quick service. I ordered the potato and tofu hash. It was okay. Good portion but the tofu didn’t have any flavor or taste, it had a slight hint of something sweet.

Favorite Milford stop

When I’m in Milford, this is my favorite place! Their tofu hash is absolutely phenomenal. The rest of their vegan options are also delicious.

Best vegan options!

I’m so thankful that The Plate offers more than one vegan menu item! It’s one of the only restaurants in the area that does. I’ve tried several dishes and they always taste freshly made, healthy, and I’m served a good portion!

Pros: More than one vegan options , Tasty

A For Effort ?

I appreciate them even having vegan options but they need to be more careful. They put dairy butter on the toast that came with my vegan meal. Also they cube their tofu "scramble" and that's rough.

Excellent vegan menu

I never could have imagined that this homey little luncheonette near my house would have a dedicated vegan menu as part of its regular menu, but not only does it, but the food is as good as can be. I'd give this place 5 stars if Happy Cow didn't have its silly restriction of not allowing 5 stars for any establishment that is not fully vegan.

Good but could be better

I feel like it was a case of I got the wrong thing, I got a Mediterranean tofu wrap and it just didn’t quite do it for me.. it was a little greasy, not too much flavor. I was disappointed, but there were so many vegan options and the non vegan I went with said their meal was really good. I’d have to go back and try something else to get a better feel. However upon first impression I wouldn’t recommend.

Pros: Lots of Vegan options, Knowledgeable about vegan food, Friendly staff

Cons: Not too much flavor, Disappointing tofu

Decent for an omnivore restaurant

I got the hash & tofu with dry rye bread (as they don’t have any vegan butter) and a side of avocado. My company also ordered the vegan bacon which I tried and was not my cup of tea. The kitchen ended up putting butter on my bread but I caught their mistake before consumption. The avocado was perfectly ripe and they gave me an entire half!

The tofu however was disappointing. It was “maple tofu” which was something I had never tried. It was served on the side, barely cooked and some pieces were even cold. I could taste the maple if I ate the cubes individually, but it was faint and otherwise unflavored. I would ask for the tofu well done if I ordered this dish again.

The rest of the meal was good, and our server was attentive, knowledgeable and kind. Live music played in the bar section which also had a separate brunch menu. I found it odd and restrictive that you could only eat brunch in that specific section.

Pros: ripe avocados, great service

Cons: live music too loud, unseasoned tofu , no vegan butter
