No need to add to what others are saying, just want to be another one saying how great this gem of a cafe is. Only advice is get there early as when we left on a Thursday lunchtime it was filling up!
Pros: Good interesting choice of salads. Very reasonably
Cons: None

Fab Cafe - Edit
This is a real hidden gem in Taunton. Really worth a visit. The food is extremely tasty and fresh and the vegan cakes selection enough to keep you coming back!
Pros: Friendly staff, Great food choice, The cakes!
Cons: Quite small

Great food and friendly staff at this Taunton haven - Edit
I visited Taunton for the day and this appeared to be the only fully vegan place. I had the nut burger and a load of salad (very reasonably priced) plus vegan cheese. And for dessert had a big slice of delicious and moist bakewell cake. My godmother and her sister also loved it (and they are by no means vegan). Definitely recommend going here. The staff were lovely and friendly.
Pros: Very friendly staff, Lots of veg/salad with the burger, Delicious moist cake
Cons: Burgers could be a bit bigger

Taunton doesn't know how lucky it is! - Edit
The Planet cafe is a one woman project by all accounts and full credit to her for getting it off the ground and going for almost a year now. It's not easy running a vegan cafe in the most wealthy and hip of places so doing so in a town where only multinational supermarkets and charity shops thrive has to be a challenge. Anyway get there early as the menu is liable to "run out" towards the end of the day. The menu changes often which is good. But have a Not Sausage Roll, one of the few to rival those of The Old Post Office Bakery that I've ever had. Don't expect loads of choices of tea or coffee this is a small enterprise but do enjoy the homemade cheese sauce, mayonnaise and cakes (maybe not all at the same time!) which other outlets often just buy in. Taunton is surrounded by beautiful country side plagued by fox hunting, so when you've had enough of laying false scents and blowing bugles to distract the hounds I'd recommend the many charity shops of Bridge St and North St interrupted by lunch at the Planet cafe.
I'll be back there with or without the Sabs!

Friendly service and good food in Taunton - Edit
The cafe is a relaxing place to sit and browse their vegan magazines or a book. They also had a small art/photo exhibition when we visited. The staff are really friendly, service was quick and the coffee and food is good. We had a 'Not a sausage roll' and it was very tasty. The burgers and cakes looked lush too. A lovely haven in an area otherwise void of vegan options!
Pros: Friendly staff, Quick service, Nice, relaxing atmosphere
