One of my favorites in Old Town

This is a place my partner and I both really like. Food is great. Portions are generous. I find Old Town somewhat mediocre food-wise, but I’m always happy to eat here. The hummus is phenomenal.

Have had better felafel

We had lunch here on a weekday. Ordered the two vegan options on the menu: felafel sandwich and fried eggplant sandwich, both on pita. Both were fine but better versions are out there! Decor is pretty unattractive. Service was OK. Doubt we will return, despite limited options in Alexandria for vegans.

Pros: Relatively inexpensive

Cons: Just OK vegan fare.

Always delicious

We eat here at least once a week. The hummus is to die for and the falafel sandwich is amazing. Great service, too

Delicious Authentic Lebanese Food on King Street, Alexandria VA

Lovely outdoor seating at this hidden gem on King Street. Authentic Lebanese dishes I'd never tried before: a cold bean and chickpea dish--was it salad or cold soup or a dip? Don't know--but we piled it on pita and it was delicious! The fried artichoke hearts were moist, lemony and amazing. Good falafel and we also tried a dish of pickled miniature eggplant stuffed with walnut, garlic and pepper. Really interesting taste--almost like olives. Would definitely go back again and try more of the vegetarian and vegan eats. Loved the waitstaff as well and the prices were reasonable.

Pros: sparkling authentic Lebanese food, great location and service, lots of vegan and vegetarian options

Cons: exterior of restaurant is a wee bit drab
