Lovely place, great vegan options - Edit
We visited on a rainy afternoon, thoroughly soaked and looking for shelter and some comforting vegan food. It took us a little while to find the place initially (it's tucked away in an industrial unit behind the Ford garage, just outside of the main town centre), but we were so pleased when we got there and saw what was on offer. Fresh soup, which was very tasty, nice salad, toasties, vegan cakes, and freshly-made vegan waffles. Whilst the vegan menu wasn't huge, there were ample choices, and even our almost 2 year old enjoyed the soup and smoothie. Really nice coffee too, courtesy of Pilgrims coffee roasters on Lindisfarne, who supply the coffee beans to Pineapple. Also gladly accepts card payments including Amex. For the little ones (and little-at-heart), there is a nice toy chest to keep them amused whilst waiting for food, and a selection of jigsaw puzzles. Service was very good, and always with a smile. Couldn't have been more helpful or friendly. Will be back next time we're up this way. It would be nice to see a slightly wider vegan selection, but given the size of the unit and the limited kitchen space, this may be tricky. Fellow vegans: don't hesitate to pay Pineapple Cafe a visit. Keep up the great work :-)

disappointed - Edit
We spent 30mins trying to find the Pineapple Cafe (sat nav sends you to other side of road 100m away) then another 30 mins waiting for a salad bowl and soup. (Only 6 other people in the cafe). The salad bowl was very unimaginative (spinach, walnuts, hummus and seeds, tho 95% spinach) soup thin and tasteless and accompanying toast like concrete. I never write complaints on this site or any other, this is my first but I felt compelled to let you all know. Needless to say we didn’t stay for a drink.
