One of the best restaurants I've eaten in! - Edit
Went here with my mum and grandma (all three of us are vegan) and we were so so happy with the food. The "fish" from the "fish and chips" honestly tasted just like fish and was absolutely divine - flavouring of all the meals we had was spot on. Everything is fairly priced and the food is honestly beautiful. Would highly recommend going! We are definitely going here again!

Excellent food and service. - Edit
The food was very good and reasonably priced. The bar staff were very friendly and helpful. The only problem was deciding which one dish to pick as all sounded delicious. The pea pie with mash and veg was very good. I just hope I get the chance to try another before returning home.
Pros: Choice , Service , Price

Great food menu - Edit
All-vegan menu. Hard to choose, but I had a tasty and satisfying savoury pie meal: asparagus, minted pea and caramelized onion pie with mustard mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables and gravy, for £7.50. Also on the menu were delicious-sounding sandwiches, such as warm spicy tofu & mushroom; warm chicken, stuffing & mayo; and chilli & cheese melt. Also, all-day breakfast; sharing platter with samosas, pakoras, bruschetta, bowl of chilli, chips; and two burgers (seitan and stuffed Portobello). Mains include fish & chips with mushy peas, bean stew and lasagne. There’s a Sunday lunch, and the Christmastime special was Tofurky with mash, roast veg, stuffing and gravy for £6.95.
Unfortunately, the draught beers are not vegan (and not craft or microbrews). There was only one bottled beer that was vegan, Samuel Smith’s pale ale. (Dec. 2016) I hope the vegan beer offerings will expand.
Pros: all-vegan menu, it's a vegan pub!
Cons: needs more vegan beer

amazing array of vegan options - Edit
Been a few times had the seitan burger and fish and chips. Also the bruschetta. My only issue isn't with the food but with the lack of comfy seating.
Pros: very reasonable prices, delicious , the coleslaw is divine
Cons: seating not great

Rude and unfriendly staff - Edit
We'd heard people rave about the food here and were excited to try it. We arrived around 2pm on a Sunday and there were plenty of tables free. There were two members of staff serving people at other tables, but they didn't even say hello to us. We tried to get their attention several times when they came out, but they just ignored us. So after waiting about 15 minutes, we gave up and went and ate somewhere else.
Pros: Other customers were friendly
Cons: Rude staff, Very dingy, Smelled damp

Disappointed with wait for okay food - Edit
We went there yesterday around 5.30pm. We spent about £27 for 3 of us for 3 mains & 2 light bites which we shared as starters and one soft drink. The décor and atmosphere were nice. The menu looked interesting and loved it was all vegan. We were told there was a half-hour wait for food....we waited for about an hour and 20 minutes!! We were not alone...when the food came it was staggered with each dish arriving at separate times so we could eat together. I ask for mayo but never got any. My lasagne was nice but a bit dry and garlic bread was tasty but cold. My son had fish and chips - surprised it was tofu wrapped in seaweed - menu needs explanation of the dishes, and the tartare sauce was not nice. It was a shame as we had come from Norwich to try it as we were in Notts for the evening. Food was nice but service and wait ruined it. There was no offer of free drink or discount. The music was good but then it was turned up so loud and it was so fast that made eating stressfull and conversation difficult. Disappointing and probably won't return any time soon. I'd really like to rave about it as great idea vegan pub but they have some lessons as on Saturday it was not an acceptable way to treat customers. I'd like them to be successful and that is why I'm being honest in my review
Pros: all vegan
Cons: reasonably priced

Impressed! - Edit
Having been before the refurb, although the food was good, the place was in dire need of redecoration. I saw on social media they were closing for the refurb and would be opening with a fully vegan food menu. Fantastic news!
I revisited for lunch once they'd reopened. The pub now has a lovely fresh feel. Still two separate lounges and a little outdoor seating area upstairs for those sunnier days. I really liked the options on the menu, take note they only serve a roast dinner on Sunday's and not the full menu. Although there are several roast dinner options. I opted for the chickn, stuffing and mayo sandwich with chips. Very happy with the price, quality and the portion was pretty big! Service was also quick. Good selection of vegan drinks, both soft and alcoholic, on offer too. No hesitation at all in returning again.
Pros: All vegan food menu, Great value for money, Good selection

Whole menu has vegan versions - Edit
Alt city centre pub with a menu offering vegan versions of everything, from hot dogs to fish and chips. The vegan hot dog comes with roast potatoes, stuffing, onions and gravy and comes in a baguette - amazing value for 4 quid and super tasty and filling!
Pros: Vegan pub food, Super Value
