one of my favories - Edit
the pawnee house is an absolute favorite of mine on the island! their brunch and dinner has such wonderful vegan options! I loved the vegan crab cakes and shishito peppers with vegan aioli, I just wish the portions were bigger. I've had their polenta, vegan pot pies and the bean bowl all of which have been very yummy. I love the vegan affogato on the menu! and a vegan cake. It is clear they are so dedicated to providing delicious vegan options on their menu which makes this a favorite for special dinners. my only dislike is that it can be quite pricey to eat here as cocktails and food adds up quick but it's always delicious. the owner makes homemade limoncello which is such a lovely treat when they offer it. his wife is the chef. they do such a lovely job😄

One of us had the vegan pot pie (huge), one had a red beans and rice bowl with collards, okra, radishes, jalapeños. Could taste all the flavors, wasn't smothered in sauce

fav vegan place on the island - Edit
pawnee house is one of my go tos!!! i’ve been living on the island for almost 2 years now and this is by far the best place. they have so many options and they’re unique as well. the vegan pot pie is INSANE and my favorite meal to get on the entire island. the vegan crab cakes are delicious as well (slightly small and pricey though) and the french toast was soo good.

Delicious and so Many Options - Edit
There were so many vegan options on the menu and they assured us that everything was cooked separate from the meat. We enjoyed the seared Brussel Sprouts, Vegan Pot Pie, and Crab Cake (made from chickpeas and veggies - not imitation meat). There were many other options I wanted to try, but was full!

Many many plant-based choices - Edit
Pawnee House is committed to having at least 30% of their menu plant-based. The food is legitimately DELICIOUS for vegans and non-vegans alike. The vegan crab cake is a must, as is everything else.

Good vegan french toast - Edit
Went here for brunch and got the french toast. There aren't many places on MV with vegan options so I was excited about this one! Vegan options are clearly labeled and there's plenty of them. The french toast was delicious!

small plates in a fun vibe - Edit
Martha’s Vineyard seems to have very few vegan options at the moment so I was happy to find this one. It is super cute and has a fun vibe.
Read moreIt has a fairly short menu, so not too many options, but almost 50% of the menu is vegan, and vegan options are clearly marked. (Watch out for the flat bread, which has honey; you can request that it’s made without honey). The portions are fairly small and the place is quite expensive.
The side dishes and starters were the best: fingerling potatoes, Brussels sprouts, and shishito peppers. I also had the polenta, but would not recommend it - it’s is swimming in oil.
I personally did not like the service, I felt they bothered us too much (three different people asking if we want more wine within a span of less than 10 minutes is too much for me.) They also snatched plates away really fast, often without asking, even though we weren’t finished with them.

Cute place - Edit
Nice sit down place with several vegan options clearly marked on the menu. Brussels sprouts are very good, highly recommend them. Potatoes and cake were tasty too. Flat bread has honey - easily made without it. Polenta was not bad, but very oily. Reservations recommended, gets busy quickly at dinner time.

Cons: Pricey, Dishes on the oily side
