Nice salad bar

11/8/24 Still nothing. Still a good salad bar though!

ETA2: Apparently they are looking for a vegan option to replace the Beyond burger, which had a lot of complaints. Stay tuned! Salad bar still very good.

ETA: Nooooo! Sadly, they have removed the hillbilly hummus from the menu stating that the only people who ever ate it were me and one of the staff members (it might not even have been a joke). I’m so bummed. But the salad bar is still pretty good, and the service is impeccable and friendly every single time.

OP: Sick of veggie burgers, we stopped into The Park Grill to see their offerings. They have a really nice salad bar and I was able to confirm (through an allergen notebook, which I never saw but which sounds promising!) that the basil vinaigrette was vegan. Also, the hillbilly peanut hummus with veggies was AMAZING. Yum! Very small serving though.

Omni bf said his mushrooms were terrific and we don’t care what he thinks about the rest of his dinner.

All in all a nice break from veggie burgers. Will definitely be back.

No beyond burger

We had found the restaurant through Google. Since vegetarian/vegan options are rare in the rural US, we were happy to find a restaurant that offered a Beyond Burger.
My wife and I both ordered the Beyond Burger salad bar (salad bar costs $8 there if you eat a burger instead of $18). My wife was making her first round at the salad bar when the waitress came and told me they were out of the Beyond Burger (later we found out the burger was not available any longer but the menu hasn‘t been updated). Since my wife had already picked up a full plate of salad, we didn't want it to just end up in the trash, and our 7 month old son was already hungry, we had no choice but to settle for the salad bar. The salad bar was good, but it wasn’t satisfying as a main course, especially when you were looking forward to a burger. In the end, we were both charged $18 each for the salad bar. Quite expensive for a bit of veggies. The waitress was very nice and very eager (she did her job really well, she wasn‘t responsible for it). We were offered a 10% discount by the manager after we complained. We then accepted it because we didn't feel like discussing it anymore. We wished that they had been more accommodating to us. 8$ for the salad bar would have been fair because we wanted to order the burgers but couldn't. It's not about money but about principle.

We left with a bad mood and a bad feeling. They will not see us again.
