Not many options and poor food

Visited here a couple of days ago for my Grandma’s birthday, we had rung ahead and asked if they had an vegan options and they had said they did. As soon as we arrived I was told that the main vegan option was not available which left me with the choice of beans and a jacket potato or a hot focaccia roll - decided to go for the roll and we waited around 50 mins for this even though it was quiet in there! The food was very poor and expensive for what it was. Will not be rushing back anytime soon!

Tasty tea and cake

Tasty vegan cookie, albeit a bit sweet for my taste. My friend had the (non vegan) brownie, that she really enjoyed. Though she didn't manage to finish at it was very big and rich.

Lovely location at the castle. Outdoor seating looking out over the garden.

Yummy vegan afternoon tea in a beautiful setting

I went here for afternoon tea with my mum and ordered the vegan option for myself. You have to let them know at least 24 hours in advance if you'd like afternoon tea. Vegan afternoon tea had a nice selection of finger sandwiches, veggie sausage roll, some vegan scones (fruity and cheesy) with jam (no vegan cream unfortunately), and some cakes, as well as unlimited tea and coffee. We sat inside the tearoom which had lovely views out onto the castle grounds. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend.
