Tasty Vegan Options & Great Service - Edit
Fabulous meal and service was spectacular, going above and beyond to assist with a friend's food intolerances, all the while keeping the meal vegan and super tasty!

Very Enjoyable - Edit
Spacious, friendly, tasteful place with a welcoming, convivial atmosphere. The gentleman and two young ladies were very friendly and accommodating, as well as super dog-friendly! (Water bowls, dog biscuits and a choice of places to sit. Our BMD made herself very at home, as you can see from the pic 😂)
Read moreAlthough vegan choices were limited and the pub is part of a chain, what was available was very tasty and the side salad was very fresh and crisp. The soup was tasty and filling, the lasagne rich and moist and I'd strongly recommend the caramel biscuit torte if you miss cheesecake!
We found the service very swift and friendly (Saturday evening between 1900h & 2030h) and the prices probably average for the area - good value, but not the cheapest.
Would definitely go again.
Pros: Good quality, flavoursome food, Very friendly, welcoming staff, Prompt service
Cons: Limited number of vegan choices

Lovely meal - Edit
The Old Stables is part of a chain (Vintage Inns) but, as chains go, it’s not a bad one at all. Very comfortable and nice ambience, welcoming to dogs, very friendly and helpful staff. Not many vegan options on the menu (2 each of starters, mains and puddings) and one of the mains was a Moving Mountain burger, which I find really horrible. However what we did have was lovely. Leek and potato soup with a sourdough roll, lentil, sage and red wine lasagne with a dressed salad and blackberry and apple crumble with a sorbet. So a nice surprise from the pub next to a Travelodge on the A27.

Beautiful building - Edit
This lovely old building has been tastefully done up so you can still see the exposed beams. They also had a log fire burning which created a cosy atmosphere.
Read moreThey offer the standard Vintage Inns vegan menu. I ordered the spiced squash curry. The spice level was close to my limit but otherwise it was nice enough.
It was rather busy when we visited on a Saturday evening so there was a bit of a wait for food but we were warned when ordering.
Pros: Lovely building, Several vegan options
Cons: Not all veg*an, Wait for food
