They’re confused about their vegan options - Edit
Their website and the previous review on Happy Cow looks amazing, however on visiting they said VG meant vegetarian, not vegan (and the menu didn’t clarify).
Read moreThe vegan chicken roast on the website is outdated and not an options anymore. The feta is actually vegan (Violofe brand) but the Wellington not because of the pesto.
It feels like the chef or other person who used to champion the vegan menu is no longer around, and it may be worth reviewing if The Old Manor should still be in HC.
Pros: Beautiful building, Lovely garden, Friendly staff
Cons: Not clear what’s vegan, Expensive, The few vegan options come at a premium

Very good options - Edit
Having eaten here a few times there is a good selection of vegan dishes on the separate vegan menu! The battered banana blossom is really good and not something that would usually appear outside of a fully vegan restaurant menu. The brunch is delightful and again wouldn’t normally find on a brunch menu elsewhere in the area. The service is always delightful and the building is stunning!
