Fantastic vegan breakfast - Edit
We’re so happy we stumbled past The Old Library. The staff are lovely. We had the Old Library Veggie Breakfast and requested no egg to make it vegan. I don’t like mushrooms (as hard as I’ve tried) and they very kindly gave me an extra hash brown. This will become our regular spot for a great vegan breakfast!

Great vegan breakfast option in Ashburton - Edit
The vegan options in Ashburton are limited while Rafikis is closed Monday - Thursday. We tried the Old Library instead and they offer a veggie breakfast which can be made vegan my removing the egg, which is also then removed from the bill.
Read moreThe breakfast was fantastic - avo, toasted focaccia, BBQ beans, mushroom, rocket, tomato and vegan sausages. We had to check with the waitress that she had given us the correct sausages because they tasted very realistic to meat, but they assured us they were correct and that they often get asked that question! Think they were from Moving Mountains. Milk alternatives offered for hot drinks.
They also serve a number of cakes and tend to have a vegan option there as well
The food was lovely and the staff were really friendly. We went back twice!
