It's a nice little place that really surprised us with their vegan options!
Read moreIt was really busy on both days we were there and the staff seemed a bit overwhelmed but was still friendly. Some stuff is marked vegan on the menu but if you ask them there are more options. And they got vegan cheese!
Pros: Staff knows what vegan is, Nice outside seating area, Vegan cheese!
Cons: Quite loud and dingy inside, A bit pricey

adorable little pub, I got the vegan cassoulet with potatoes and fresh beans and Chandler got the mushroom soup with crusty sourdough, both were amazingly delicious.

Cosy - Edit
Had an amazing tomato and lentil soup, just what we needed after a walk in the autumn weather at the nearby fairy pools.

Wonderful place by Loch Harport - Edit
The Old Inn is a pub that is located on the shore of Loch Harport. There are wonderful views of the loch and in the summer it must be wonderful to sit outside and enjoy this! We visited in the autumn, so the outdoor area was closed, but it was still a wonderful place to visit and we enjoyed the views after our meal.
Read moreThere is only one vegan dish on the menu, a curry with squash, chickpeas and spinach. The soup of the day was vegan when we visited, too (judging from other reviews it usually is). The curry is not marked as vegan, but we talked to the staff to make sure. They were very friendly and helpful.
The whole place feels authentic and down-to-earth and we just loved this. There are not many vegan choices around, so it is great that they make the effort.
Both the curry and the soup were delicious, and the curry was huge and very filling.
The pub is located very close to the Talisker Distillery, so it might become very crowded. We went here directly after our distillery tour (at about 12pm) and it was easy to get a table then, but it filled up quickly afterwards, and at one point people were queuing. So we recommend coming here out of peak times if you want to make sure you get a table. We visited in late October and I imagine that it is even more popular during high season.

One vegan option - Edit
Only had 1 vegan option, a curry and the soup of the day. The curry was delicious, a little bit spicy. I ask to swap the rice for bread and they were happy to do so. Curry was delicious, better then I was expecting actually.

Great atmosphere and several options - Edit
Right next to the Talisker distillery. I had the vegan haggis pizza with vegan cheese and vegan haggis. There was another vegan option on the menu, a chili bowl. The dessert, dark chocolate brownie, was amazing! Nice atmosphere and great staff. Dog friendly.

Gorgeous gem - Edit
Wonderful gem right at Loch Harport. You can sit outside and have amazing views of the loch, glens, sea and mountains. Staff is very nice, even double checked if the sandwich Creme was vegan (which it was). Not the cheapest place, but an incredibly cozy and yummy inn. There’s even a vegan dessert!
