Serves meat, vegan options available. Restaurant attached to a hotel & spa. Offers a few vegan items such as curry, linguine, risotto, soup and celeriac salad. Open Mon-Sun 12:00-22:00.
The ambience here was adorable! The inn has been there since the 1600s. Gorgeous hotel attached as well. It was a bit dark but I had looked at the menu prior to going and had the vegan GF eggplant curry which was lovely! Had great live music as well.
We decided to visit for the first time for a family meal. I advised that there were vegans in the party (including children) when I called to book and was told this could be accommodated.
When we arrived we waited for ages to be seated and the service was terrible. I asked what the options were for the children and was told they could do smaller portions of the adult options (risotto or curry). I said the options weren’t child friendly and said I assumed they could provide tomato pasta or something similar (particularly as I’d given prior notice) I was told the pasta had egg in it and no alternative options were offered to me so we decided to leave without ordering anything and we got a takeaway instead!
I emailed to complain and received a cheeky and dismissive email from the manager. We won’t be returning and certainly do not recommend going there. #Veganuary
I got the aubergine curry with steamed rice, service was great although selection was poor, one vegan starter, two vegan mains and one vegan dessert, didnt fancy the starter or dessert so just had to pick the curry. Had my doubts but it was lovely #Veganuary
