Nice lunch

Had the cauliflower wings on wing Wednesday. Could have used more sauce but it was a large portion and tasty. There is also a wild mushroom risotto clearly labelled vegan on the menu.

Monday lunch

Traditional country pub; warm and homely with no dreaded TV. Reasonably-priced lunchtime menu; either two or three courses. Vegan battered cauliflower starter was a nice change from the traditional soup vegans usually have to accept! Wild mushroom risotto was yummy! A touch of vegan Parmesan would have finished it perfectly….but table salt was almost as good! Absolutely heavenly dark chocolate-coconut torte with raspberry sorbet for desert. Oat milk for coffee! Really impressive for a middle-of-nowhere pub. Bravo!
