Fine dining by the river

Fully booked but they had places on the terrace if you turn up at 11.30am. Beetroot and potato fritters were tasty but only one vegan main dish. Lovely view of a river busy with cygnets, ducklings, canoes and paddleboards. A very entertaining meal

Wonderful food!

I had the lentil dahl with roasted cauliflower and squash with jasmine rice. Absolutely delicious! Would love to go again and try the aubergine katsu curry. Had ‘Judes’ strawberry ice cream for desert. Lovely setting, friendly staff. All excellent.

Pros: Several vegan options, Vegan desert, eg frangipane, sorbet, ice cream , Reasonable prices

Cons: Make sure you have change for car park!, None, None

Beautiful location!

We really enjoyed our dinner here! We were lucky enough to be able to sit outside by the river in the beautiful sun.

There’s 1 vegan starter (unfortunately was unavailable when we were there), vegan sides such as tempeh wings, a couple of mains options and a dessert option. The menu is quite limited and a little pricey but the food does taste really nice. The options aren’t your ‘standard’ vegan options such as sorbet or a burger, which is quite refreshing to see.

Pros: Not your conventional vegan options, Beautiful location , Friendly staff

Cons: Expensive - £13 for a main and £6-7 for dessert, Parking is limited, Menu is quite limited
