Cute place with tasty vegan food. Ordered the Lemon drizzle cake and chocolate brownie both were amazing! Also had the smoothie called pink wink which was lovely! The staff were very friendly and made sure you were happy with the food!

Pros: cheap , tasty, friendly staff

Awesome Vegan Food - Edit

Adorable inside and a wonderful selection of menu items, I just couldn't decide, but when I finally did, the black bean burger was absolutely fabulous. Instead of a bun they placed the homemade burger on a bed of potatoes and caramelized onions with two beautiful sauces.

Pros: Creative menu , AMAZING flavor, Great atmosphere

Cons: none

This is by far the best food I have found in Limerick! - Edit

Everytime I fly over from London this is my go to place. Great hearty food with a homemade feel. If your in Limerick and your Vegan/Veggie go here (even if your not Veggie/Vegan, still go here)! The staff are really friendly and welcoming too.

I will be going here for lunch everyday for the rest of the week I’m here.

Pros: Great food, Great Staff, VEGAN

Cons: I wish I could eat all the food at once

Great for Vegans and Vegetarians. - Edit

Really chilled, welcoming atmosphere here. Food is very tasty with generous portions. I had the chickpea burger which was served with salad and potato wedges. Absolutely delicious. Almond milk cappuccinos frothy and creamy. Vegan ginger cake was absolute heaven. I can’t wait to go back to try out the rest of the menu. 100% recommend!

Pros: friendly atmosphere, delicious food, varied menu

Great Spot - Edit

Visited this place on a recent trip home and couldn't have been happier. I'm not a vegetarian but I was extremely impressed with the caliber of food and would certainly come back. Very friendly environment and I loved the decor. Extremely trendy while based on the history of the building. Unreal coffee also, best I had in Ireland. 5 stars!

Pros: Food, Coffee, Service

Cons: That I don't live locally so I could visit more!

favourite place to eat! - Edit

Amazing menu that changes every week and incredible cakes. I had two problems with it in 5 months I've been going there. Coffee was burnt once and the curry I had was kinda cold and lacking flavour. Other then that I was amazed by their food, dessert's and how nice & helpful the staff is... Would love if some of their cakes would come back!

Great food by great people - Edit

I got takeaway here for my bus ride as they could not have been more delightfully helpful and joyous. The staff showed me which things were vegan, were very playful even putting me in their fireman's hat for a photo. The chef even came out to ask whether or not I wanted them to warm my takeaway since warming more than once would destroy more nutrients. So lovely and knowledaable. A great experience. They are sure to do well and expand quickly as they only opened months ago.

Pros: Staff, Location, Vegan options

Sympathetic little place - Edit

I had a quick lunch here before heading to the train station and really enjoyed it! I ordered a vegetable soup and a delicious pudding which came straight out of the oven. I didn't get to try any other foods but everything seemed to be homemade and looked really fresh. The menu was very down-to-earth and, for me, hit the perfect middle-ground between healthy and indulgent. Very friendly service, too, and a nice space.

Pros: fresh, home-made food, reasonable prices, friendly staff

Limerick, IE: Vegan. Chocolate. Cake. - Edit

However, as drool worthy and delicious as the vegan chocolate cake was.....everything was actually great (we had the Thai Green Curry and the Nachos with vegan mozzarella with a side of Garlic and Rosemary Wedges -- see photos for pics). I feel like we had walked by a couple times and just never really looked at the place properly until it popped into Happy Cow (what I can only assume was recently) and I am really glad it did! The staff was great and our server, Tom, was super friendly. The Old Fire Station is a great addition to the Limerick food scene and can't wait to go back and try more. Love that the menu changes weekly (I believe it's weekly -- will confirm next visit) so there's always something new to try. Also, if you get a latte, Kevin will suggest it be made with a mix of Oat and Rice milk. Listen to him. He definitely knows what he's talking about.

Pros: Staff

Cons: Not a damn thing.
