Great cooking classes! - Edit
I have not taken participated in the potlucks they host or borrowed any cookbooks, magazines, or videos from the resource centre, but I have participated in two of the cooking classes at Dumas' Your Independent Grocer. Both classes were very inexpensive (about $10), had a different selection of recipes, and were well-organized. Each participant left with a booklet containing all the recipes we saw prepared that night. There was also a movie intro to vegetarianism before we started the cooking. At the end, we shared in sampling the food--delicious!
Pros: cooking classes, resource centre, monthly potlucks
