Food was fine but generic - Edit
Buffalo cauliflower wings which were unfortunately over cooked, otherwise I think they would have been good. Vegetable curry and rice was fine.

Good pub grub - Edit
When I was a kid this used to be one of our locals which we would visit often so it's great to see it now offers a good vegan menu! The vegan buffalo cauliflower wings are lush and I really enjoyed the vegan lasagna too! 😋

Nice to have a bit of choice - Edit
We had the vegan burger and the mushroom pie. As reheated pub food goes, its fine. The meals were tasty and keenly priced. Staff friendly and understand the vegan principle. A good choice if you are in the area and don’t fancy a curry.

Lovely food. - Edit
Comfortable family friendly pub. Nice vegan options for food. There didn't seem to be any desert option that are vegan.

Seaside Delights - Edit
I used to live near the New Crown and it was one of many locals I would frequent in. It's location near the coastal sea front and beach always made it a good place to visit during the summer or bank holidays, especially if outside where you can admire the views. The vegan menu is extensive and such great value for money. We ordered the buffalo cauliflower wings, mushroom bourguignon pie and aubergine, butternut bake to share. Each dish was absolutely delicious and fresh. Not at all what we were expecting having had pub meals before. For desserts we ordered the rhubarb, ginger pudding and the cherry, chocolate cheesecake, which were well balanced in flavour and simply divine. This was by far the best 3 course meal I've had for a while in a pub or a restaurant. Highly recommended.
