Good food - Edit
The New Celtic has a vegan menu that is available on request & I was happy to discover that the curry option was also gluten free (I am gluten intolerant). The portion size was good & although the flavours weren't outstanding, I was happy enough with my food. I pinched some of the chips that my family members had with their meals & they were amazing.
Read moreThe restaurant has an outdoor seating area for the chippy that is located at the front of the building when you walk in, the full restaurant is not immediately obvious when entering because it is at the back of the building. There is a "please wait here to be seated" sign by some steps to the left of the chippy counter that lead into the restaurant.
The staff were efficient even if not overly friendly, but they were really busy as it was the town carnival on the day we visited.
We paid for our meals at the restaurant counter when we finished as that's what we saw other patrons doing rather than asking for the bill to be brought over

Lovely vegan menu - Edit
I asked the staff if they had a vegan menu and they provided a print out with 4 options; including a curry and vegan sausage dish. I opted for the homemade chickpea burger with chips and it was delicious.
