5 STAR!!

Best (homemade) foods with plenty of choice! The app won't let me give a 5 star rating unfortunately

So much to choose from, homemade and seriously tasty!!!! By far my favourite place to go

Always vegan and gf options.
Nut roast superb, large portions.
Go super hungry!
A proper free house pub with log fire, fabulous character and an eclectic collection of miniatures, and other nicnacs.

Options

Several options for vegans, all 3 courses available, including 3 dessert options. Big portions. Chatted with the guy there who said they like to make the vegan options rather than buy meat replacements and how they'd like a good reputation for catering for vegans. I'd definitely recommend the nut roast and veggies, very tasty.

Pros: Choices on menu, Good, tasty food, Welcoming staff, log fire and dog friendly.

Grace

We came to this place because of the great reviews but the service was utterly disappointing. My partner went to ask for a table for 2, and the man behind the bar (who we presume to be the owner) replied abruptly ‘no, full’, he could only have been any more rude by saying ‘next!’ or swearing. It’s a real shame because the food seemed lovely and the rest of the staff really pleasant.

There were also many empty tables, and we wouldn’t have minded taking the food away with us, but there was no apology or willingness to help, it did feel like asking for a table was inconvenient for this man.

They had a dog menu as well, if anyone would like to try, I don’t know if I’d come back myself.

Also £5.40 for a very poor Guinness (barely any head at all).

Cons: Rude

What an amazing little place!

I just want to start by saying if I could rate this five stars and wasn't restricted by HappyCow I would without a doubt - it doesn't need to be fully Vegan to be wonderful! The Navigation Inn was so accomodating, with plenty of Vegan options - many more than we have encountered in numerous places before, and all very different to your usual offerings. I had the risotto and crumble of the day and they were delicious! Such a homely feel, friendly owner, dog friendly too, and a little book exchange which made my day. We will definitely be returning and we are kicking ourselves for not discovering it sooner. Was right up our alley!

Amazing food and wonderful staff!

Absolutely loved our evening visit. They were busy but still fit us in with a walk-in. The staff were great and the food was amazing! Couldn’t recommend the courgette fritters enough. It was so good we went back the next day for lunch 😋

Pros: Great selection of vegan options , Lunch and dinner menus, including a dessert! , Very well labelled menu

Cons: Slightly awkward opening times, Small(ish) capacity
