Delicious cakes

Variety of vegan cakes on offer, all looked delicious so very difficult to choose!! We had the pistachio brownie and chocolate orange cheesecake which were delicious! Fast service and our takeout was given to us in a recyclabled box and with compostable cutlery!

Pros: Tasty food, Fast service, Eco friendly serveware

Filling

Not been to Naked Deli for years after they assured me the frittata was vegan (it wasn’t, it was made with egg) so I thought I’d give them another go. Had the tempeh wrap, it was big and filling but a bit dry and bland, despite the hot sauce

A for effort

This cafe focuses on unprocessed food; depending on what you order, the food is not necessarily healthy, but it is healthier nonetheless. I came for breakfast and had a vegan sausage “protein” bar, as well as an oat cappuccino; all was fine. Incidentally, they no longer offer some things listed on the Happy Cow blurb (for instance, no coconut yogurt or chia seed pudding), but they do have a bunch of clearly labeled vegan items.

Friendly

Unfortunately they didn’t have the tofu nuggets, instead I tried the vegan chilli. It was tasty but I wouldn’t be back for it in a hurry.

Pros: cool atmosphere, Great cake selection

Cons: Plastic cutlery and straws

Order very wrong, not the best food.

Ordered healthy food, but the presentation and staff, were very confused about why the order was wrong?

Pros: Not a wide range, Nice tuna sandwich , Coffee nice

Cons: Presentation terrible, Broken lids on coffee, Cold chips and order wrong

Would go back for the raw cakes

Came here for my birthday weekend as my friend recommended this place. If I’m honest (and I hate to leave a bad review as always believed “if you have nothing nice to say, say nothing at all” but for the sake of feedback. This is my honest opinion. The raw cakes and sweets were absolutely amazing! I came back the next day to take one home and could have eaten more. But as for the hot food, I wasn’t impressed. The concept is great, the portions are a good size, and I love the fact that it’s healthy. But the chips came out very cold and soggy. And there wasn’t much flavour. Still would come back as maybe was just a one off.

Pros: Raw cakes were amazing , Very nice atmosphere

Cons: Food was cold , Not much flavour

Lots of vegan options

I had the vegan Dahl box and it was great. They also serve hot drinks and shakes/smoothies with oat, almond and coconut milk. The staff was really nice and I was able to use my own take away cup and lunch box. They even cleaned my box, because there was cake in it beforehand!

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Nice and helpful staff , Zero waste possibility

Good veggie options

This cafe offers a reasonable menu with quite a few vegetarian options however I don’t think it’s up to standard for the price as the food is quite expensive and the portion sizes are SO SMALL!! I’ve been twice now but I don’t think I would go for a main meal however their deserts are very good and would recommend them x

Pros: veggie options

Cons: Expensive , Small portions , Small menu

Throw off your mental chains

Fantastic listed building premises near Monument at the top of Grey Street next to Central Arcade. Vegan food choice is inviting. We had a couple of coffees with oat milk. Not too keen on the sign stating that cow’s milk is standard and that it was an extra 30p for plant milk. Great coffee though, nice views from the window seat and friendly staff. Overall, a progressive and cool place.

Pros: Healthy vegan food options , Plant milks , Nice location

Cons: Extra 30p for non dairy milk

How to look good naked

Nice new addition to the city and such a perfect location near monument. Having already visited the Heaton store several times, I was familiar with the menu. Today for lunch I bought a spinach and chickpea wrap (£3.95), which was very flavoursome and satisfied my hunger pains. I also ordered a pistachio and fudge brownie to takeaway, which was absolutely delicious. To be honest all of the raw vegan cakes are superb but I think this is my new personal favourite.

Pros: Tasty vegan options, Location

Cons: Serves meat
