I think we hit here on a bad day…ran out of vg sausage, then mushrooms…ended up with baps we didn’t really want that took about 30 mins to get to us. Guy behind me in the queue got served before I did which was annoying

Visit to Berwick - Edit
Found this little place while visiting Berwick on holiday, Friendly but forgetful staff, ordered two vegan breakfast boxes with brown sauce, and two cappuccinos with oat milk we sat outside with our dogs, the place wasn’t that busy but the table we sat at hadn’t been cleared from the previous customers and although we where told the spillage on the table would be wiped up it wasn’t so we where left with spilled coffee rolling around!! The breakfast box was ok I guess, two slices of seitan square sausage a piece of vegan bacon, mushrooms, tomato and I had spinach and my other half had avocado! A small piece of sourdough accompanied it ( more would have been appreciated) a tub of marg came which considering the size of the bread was more than adequate! The brown sauce we requested didn’t arrive so had to nip back in to ask for some! the food tasted ok but was a bit swimming in water from the spinach.

Firm favourite - Edit
One of my local favourites, we usually order to carry out. Delicious bagels with a range of filings and if they have sold out of specials they'll just make something up to cater for us. Recommended :)

The best vegan breakfasts! - Edit
We are staying at the YHA a stone’s throw away. Opted for breakfast at the Mule on Rouge and so happy we did. Excellent coffee. Lovely smashed avocado bagels and “sausage/bacon” butties to set you up for the day! Lots of other vegan choices for lunch also. Really happy we had the good fortune to stay so close! And the Green Shop over the road has loads of vegan grocery stuff if you want to cook yourself.

Good choice for vegans - Edit
I tried the Vegan BLT bagel, the Vegan 2 filled bagel (which included delicious beetroot hummus) and soup. The soup, a rich roasted pepper and lentil, was also served with a bagel so was 1uite a substantial lunch. They have vegan cake as well.

Spin on down to the Arrondissement - Edit
I was absolutely thrilled to find this fantastic newly listed place in Berwick on the quaint Bridge Street just opposite the Green Shop. I love the red exterior and the welcoming interior with cool vibes. There’s a small room next to the counter with a very decent collection of vinyl to browse through and purchase. On this particular visit I only had the chance to sample a quick coffee although I wish I had room for one of their vegan bagels (avocado, tomato, toasted pine nuts and balsamic glaze and seitan satay with peanut butter) or vegan cakes. However, I need to emphasise the coffee was just amazing. I had an Americano with barista oat milk which left me speechless. I don’t know how many times I had to tell the guy who served me how good it was. I was informed that it’s locally roasted by Northern Edge Coffee and in my opinion puts the high street racketeers to shame. Get down to Mule on Rouge for some “beats, bait’n’brews” but don’t confuse it with the one on Boulevard de Clichy!!
Read morePros: Clearly labelled vegan bagels and cakes , Fantastic coffee, Relaxing atmosphere
Cons: No Can Can dancers (only joking)
