Nice roast, several vegan options , good service and amazing views - Edit
Good service hours and great spot not far from windermere or ambleside ( a good excuse to go up through the kirkstone pass)

Excellent pub-restaurant with delicious vegan options. I’ve had the creamy beetroot ravioli, which is absolutely amazing; and the vegan burger is really good too. Only improvements could be a vegan cheese on the burger, and a bigger portion size for the ravioli. A proper vegan dessert would be nice too (just ice cream), and more vegan options in general. #Veganuary

Lovely setting - Edit
Walked across from Ambleside via Wansfell Pike and this was a very welcome stop. Was only going to have a pint with peanuts but just happened to ask if anything vegan on the menu and was most surprised when there was an onion bhaji wrap with chips and salad. Was a bit pricey but we shared and enjoyed thoroughly. On a nice day the garden is wonderful with lovely shrubs and great views of nearby fells.

Cosy and delicious food - Edit
We were staying in the hotel and, to be honest, didn't expect much from the food. We were very pleasantly surprised! I had the pasta carbonara with creamy sauce and mushrooms, which was divine. My wife had the cheese and onion pie (not vegan, but veggie). Both portions were ample and the staff were happy to swap garlic bread (not vegan) for chips on mine. We weren't really thinking about desserts but the knowledgeable staff member recommended the chocolate orange pudding with vegan cream and I'm so glad she did! That was so worth it and wonderful.
