Vegan Sunday lunch

We booked to go to the Morecombe hotel for Sunday lunch whilst staying in the area as they had a nut roast on the menu. It was listed on the menu as vegetarian but with a vegan option available. The vegetarian one came with Yorkshire pudding and cauliflower cheese as well as a few different veg. We were disappointed to see that the vegan one when it arrived, just had the cauliflower cheese and Yorkshire pudding removed and we were given an extra side of the veg we already had on our plate. The nut roast itself was tasty but would have liked more of it. We didn’t think it was fair that we were charged the same, £17 each, but with fewer items. Having read the festive menu before we arrived, we noted that the vegan festive meal came with a Yorkshire so this added to our disappointment. What we had was nice but definitely not worth £17.

Lovely meal

My main was fabulous. Really tasty and beautifully presented. My sweet was lovely too.

Pros: Very tasty food

Cons: Only 1 main and sweet
